Pre-Christmas Franciscan Hermitage Retreat

December 19-21, 2017 Tuesday 5:30 pm — Thursday 11:00 am (We will try to accommodate those who would like to arrive early or leave later!) Prepare to celebrate Christmas in the spirit of St. . We will follow his rule of Heimit- ages which combines communal prayer and meals with extended periods of silence that provides the inner space for conversation with God. We will gather for Mass, Morning Prayer, Midday Prayer, Evening and Prayer each day. A Guided Meditation will be part of the Prayer Experience. This is a silent Retreat except for the Friday evening meal and shared reflections. (Retreat begins with a lite meal at 5:30 pm on Tues. and ends with prayer at 11:00 am on Thursday.) Each person will have a private room and be invited to make use of the chapel with the Blessed Sacrament, our new nature chapel, or go walking in the woods. This quality time with God is experi- enced without the distractions of television, radio, computers and cell phones. The solitude experience is supported by "the Mother" who prepares meals, leads the times of prayer and attends to other needs. Sr. Marlene Geppert, OSF, will act as the "Mother" for this Hermitage experience. Registration fee is $130. and is non-refundable. Five meal, fruit and snacks are included. Scholar- ships are available. Please register by December 15, 2017.
