PRIVILEGED ATTORNEY-CLIENT COMMUNICATION EXECUTIVE SUMMARY SECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED LICENSE AGREEMENT (“SPIDER-MAN”) CREATIVE ISSUES This memo summarizes certain terms of the Second Amended and Restated License Agreement (“Spider-Man”) between SPE and Marvel, effective September 15, 2011 (the “Agreement”). 1. CHARACTERS AND OTHER CREATIVE ELEMENTS: a. Exclusive to SPE: . The “Spider-Man” character, “Peter Parker” and essentially all existing and future alternate versions, iterations, and alter egos of the “Spider- Man” character. All fictional characters, places structures, businesses, groups, or other entities or elements (collectively, “Creative Elements”) that are listed on the attached Schedule 6. All existing (as of 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that are “Primarily Associated With” Spider-Man but were “Inadvertently Omitted” from Schedule 6. The Agreement contains detailed definitions of these terms, but they basically conform to common-sense meanings. If SPE and Marvel cannot agree as to whether a character or other creative element is Primarily Associated With Spider-Man and/or were Inadvertently Omitted, the matter will be determined by expedited arbitration. All newly created (after 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that first appear in a work that is titled or branded with “Spider-Man” or in which “Spider-Man” is the main protagonist (but not including any team- up work featuring both Spider-Man and another major Marvel character that isn’t part of the Spider-Man Property). The origin story, secret identities, alter egos, powers, costumes, equipment, and other elements of, or associated with, Spider-Man and the other Creative Elements covered above. The story lines of individual Marvel comic books and other works in which Spider-Man or other characters granted to SPE appear, subject to Marvel confirming ownership. -

FREE THE BRAND OF EXILES: VOL. 12 PDF Jean van Hamme,Rosinski | 48 pages | 16 Jan 2013 | CINEBOOK LTD | 9781849181365 | English | Ashford, United Kingdom Exiles (comic book) - Wikipedia The New Universe is an imprint from Marvel Comics that was published in its original incarnation from to It was the first line produced by Marvel Comics utilizing a pre-conceived shared universe concept. This was to be a distinctly separate world, fully divorced from the mainstream continuity of the Marvel Universeconsisting of its own continuing characters and stories in a more realistic setting. There would be no hidden racesgodsmythological beingsmagicor supertechnology a rule immediately broken by Justice. Superhuman characters and powers would be limited and thus more subdued in their activities, yet their actions would have more realistic consequences. This was in contrast to the traditional Marvel Universe, which always purported to take The Brand of Exiles: Vol. 12 in a mirror of the real world where public knowledge of superheroessupervillains and their activities had little effect on normal day-to-day business. Adding to the sense of realism, the New Universe titles were designed to operate in real-time : a month would lapse in the universe for each month that passed in reality. The limitation of fantasy elements, and the low-key nature of the characters' activities in the The Brand of Exiles: Vol. 12 Universe, gave the imprint verisimilitudeto seem like "the world outside The Brand of Exiles: Vol. 12 window," which was the series catchphrase. To discuss how to capitalize on Marvel Comics 's upcoming 25th anniversary, president Jim Galton held a meeting with Marvel's vice presidents, including Jim Shooterwho was also Marvel editor-in-chief. -

Radiant Beings: Narratives of Contamination and Mutation in Literatures of the Anthropocene Dissertation Presented in Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Graduate School of The Ohio State University By Kristin Michelle Ferebee Graduate Program in English The Ohio State University 2019 Dissertation Committee Dr. Thomas S. Davis, Advisor Dr. Jared Gardner Dr. Brian McHale Dr. Rebekah Sheldon 1 Copyrighted by Kristin Michelle Ferebee 2019 2 Abstract The Anthropocene era— a term put forward to differentiate the timespan in which human activity has left a geological mark on the Earth, and which is most often now applied to what J.R. McNeill labels the post-1945 “Great Acceleration”— has seen a proliferation of narratives that center around questions of radioactive, toxic, and other bodily contamination and this contamination’s potential effects. Across literature, memoir, comics, television, and film, these narratives play out the cultural anxieties of a world that is itself increasingly figured as contaminated. In this dissertation, I read examples of these narratives as suggesting that behind these anxieties lies a more central anxiety concerning the sustainability of Western liberal humanism and its foundational human figure. Without celebrating contamination, I argue that the very concept of what it means to be “contaminated” must be rethought, as representations of the contaminated body shape and shaped by a nervous policing of what counts as “human.” To this end, I offer a strategy of posthuman/ist reading that draws on new materialist approaches from the Environmental Humanities, and mobilize this strategy to highlight the ways in which narratives of contamination from Marvel Comics to memoir are already rejecting the problematic ideology of the human and envisioning what might come next. -

WOLVERINE VS. SABRETOOTH PDF, EPUB, EBOOK Disney Book Group,Clarissa Wong | 24 pages | 05 Feb 2013 | Marvel Press | 9781423172895 | English | New York, United States Wolverine vs. Sabretooth PDF Book Victor runs off during the fight, wishing Rose "good luck in hell". Add the first question. Both characters have been horribly mismanaged over the past few years, but Sabretooth should win the majority of these fights. This includes the ability to see objects with greater clarity and at much greater distances than an ordinary human. Sabretooth, not believing him, dares Wolverine to do it. Creed sets a trap for Logan before heading to his meeting, but it fails causing the two to battle. A wolverine -- the animal -- is a large carnivore that looks like a small bear. And then for whatever reason we didn't do it. It also indicates that his fighting speed is his most enhanced skill. His rampage is brought to an end when Wolverine interrupts him and the two battle to a stalemate, at one point knocking one another out. As we have seen every time a battle between Logan and Victor happens, Sabretooth always has the upper hand, but Wolverine turns out to win at the end. But, the brutal moment shows how Wolverine exhausted all of his options in dealing with Sabretooth and decided the best way to stop him was to kill him. His size and strength, added with his healing factor and adamantuim tipped clawz and his Special Forces training. Back to School Picks. In , Creed using the alias Sabretooth works as a mercenary assassin in Saigon. -

Schrödinger’s Cape: The Quantum Seriality of the Marvel Multiverse William Proctor, University of Bournemouth, UK. On the surface, quantum physics and narrative theory are not easy bedfellows. In fact, some may argue that the two fields are incommensurable paradigms and any attempt to prove otherwise would be a foolhardy endeavour, more akin to intellectual trickery and sleight-of- hand than a prism with which to view narrative systems. Yet I find myself repeatedly confronted by these two ostensibly incompatible theories converging as I explore the vast narrative networks associated with fictional world-building -- most notably those belonging to comic book multiverses of Marvel and DC Comics which, Nick Lowe argues “are the largest narrative constructions in human history (exceeding, for example, the vast body of myth, legend and story that underlies Greek and Latin literature)” (Kaveney, 25). Contemporary quantum theory postulates that the universe is not a singular body progressing linearly along a unidirectional spatiotemporal pathway – as exponents of the Newtonian classic physics model believe – but, rather, a multiverse comprised of alternate worlds, parallel dimensions and multiple timelines. Both Marvel and bête noire DC Comics embrace the multiverse concept that allows multiple iterations, versions and reinterpretations of their character populations to co-exist within a spatiotemporal framing principle that shares remarkable commonalities with the quantum model. Where Marvel and DC deviate from one another, however, is that the latter utilises the conceit as an intra-medial model for its panoply of comic books; whereas, conversely, the Marvel multiverse functions as a transmedia firmament that encapsulates an entire catalogue within its narrative rubric, a strategy that is analogous with the quantum paradigm. -

AHMED QUINONES RIVERA GIBSON 0 0 8 1 1 RATED T+ $3.99US MARVEL.COM 7 59606 08853 9 A mutant refugee from the Age of Apocalypse, Blink was a member of the original EXILES, a team of heroes plucked from their respective realities and tasked with stabilizing the dangerously shifting Multiverse. After saving reality many times over, Blink set out to live her own life. But the Multiverse keeps calling her… When an entity known as the Time-Eater began destroying the Multiverse, a dimension-hopping device called the Tallus recruited a new team of Exiles composed of Blink and the alternate- universe heroes known as Iron Lad, Valkyrie and Wolvie. With the help of the Unseen — the being formerly known as Nick Fury who is now cursed to watch all reality pass him by — the Exiles defeated the Time-Eater and saved the Multiverse. But during their adventures, Blink learned that her old team was lost in the Multiverse. The Tallus brought Blink and her companions to an alternate Wild West to fi nd them. With help from the gunslinging King, the Black Panther of the West, the Exiles found Nocturne and Morph under the control of a demented Charles Xavier. The team freed Nocturne, but not before Xavier slaughtered Valkyrie’s beloved horse Elendil and murdered Morph. And there’s been no time to rest: The rogue Watchers who once confronted the Exiles on the moon have returned. This release is a full digital album, with track information and album art, and is designed to work most efficiently within windows media player. It is my intention that these tracks represent the most available Philip K Nixon tracks, as they form the materials out of which I have hopefully constructed a weapon. This weapon works to destroy conditioning. To understand why I believe this construct is important, I'm going to need to get into some depth. I've dug into my files and bookshelves and pulled together the sources listed at the end of this article to help me articulate what has been until now mostly a metalinguistic experience. Working with collage and cut-ups does something seriously uncouth to the analytical brain. Coming down from this neurolinguistic high required serious grounding, and reading through what others have said has proved to be an excellent form of psychic reintegration. The references listed below are by no means exhaustive, and are instead limited to the materials I had on hand that I feel are the most important to the overall concepts I utilized. -
