International week ‘Diversity in care’ 22-26 October 2018

We would like to invite you to the international week, organized by the University of Applied Sciences VIVES, Health Care from October 22nd 2018 till October 26th 2018.

The international week ‘Diversity in Care’ – focuses on international en intercultural care in the worldwide healthcare settings linked to  Medicine and surgery  Elder care and geriatrics  Mother-child care  Paediatrics  Community care and home care  Mental health  Social health care

We would like to get the students in touch with the above topics in another intercultural/- national setting. The lecture or practical and interactive workshop is a 90 minutes seminar and can contain theories, views, (good) practices, interactive lecture,… If you or one of your colleagues has experience with the care in one of these settings, please let us know, as for example talking about the home care system, emergency care system, care during the refugee crises, care during bullfights,… The aim is to let the students see healthcare through another perspective. If you are interested to join our international week and meet colleagues from our partner institutions, please do not hesitate and join us.

If your University (College) has a inter-institutional agreement with VIVES, an Erasmus+ teacher mobility (STA) is possible.

During the international week, you will meet colleagues from VIVES University of Applied Sciences and from other health care settings within Europe.

Last but not least, you will be able to discover a bit of our culture (tourist guide) and gastronomy (group diner).

If you or one of your colleagues is interested, please send us an abstract (max. 20 lines) of the lesson/workshop you would like to give.

Once the program is finalised in English, we will this to you.
