TRAFFIC ADVICE

SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS FOR CHRISTMAS EVE AND CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS 2020

Members of the public are advised that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on Island, Kowloon and the New Territories in connection with Christmas Eve and Christmas Holidays 2020:

I. SPECIAL TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

HONG KONG ISLAND

(A) ROAD CLOSURES AND TRAFFIC DIVERSIONS (SEE FIGURE 1)

(1) Central and the Vicinity

The following road sections will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 2.00 pm on 24 December 2020 to 6.00 am on the following day:

(i) The section of D’Aguilar Street between and Wellington Street; (ii) Lan Kwai Fong; (iii) Wing Wah Lane; (iv) Wo On Lane; (v) The section of Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street; and (vi) On Lan Street.

Depending on crowd and traffic situation, the road closure area will be enlarged to cover the following road sections at any time after 4.00 pm on 24 December 2020:

(i) D’Aguilar Street between Queen’s Road Central and Wellington Street; (ii) Wyndham Street between Glenealy and Queen’s Road Central; (iii) Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (iv) Wellington Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street; (v) Cochrane Street between Wellington Street and Stanley Street; (vi) Queen’s Road Central between Pedder Street and ; and (vii) .

(B) SUSPENSION OF ON-STREET PARKING

(1) Central Lan Kwai Fong and the Vicinity

All on-street parking spaces including the motorcycle parking spaces and parking meter spaces at the following locations will be temporarily suspended from 1.00 pm on 24 December 2020 to 6.00 am on the following day:

(i) Stanley Street near D’Aguilar Street; (ii) Wyndham Street between and D’ Aguilar Street; and (iii) On Lan Street.

1 KOWLOON AND NEW TERRITORIES

(A) ROAD CLOSURE AND TRAFFIC DIVERSION

No special traffic arrangement will be implemented in Kowloon and the New Territories during Christmas Eve and Christmas Holidays in 2020.

II. PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICE ARRANGEMENTS

(A) MASS TRANSIT RAILWAY SERVICES

Normal operating hours will be maintained and no overnight train service will be provided during Christmas Holidays. The service will be strengthened subject to passenger demand.

(B) HONG KONG TRAMWAYS SERVICES

The tram services on 24 and 25 December 2020 will remain normal.

(C) CENTRAL TO MID-LEVELS ESCALATOR AND WALKWAY SYSTEM

The services will be extended on 24 and 25 December 2020 to 1.00 am on the following day.

(D) BUS SERVICES

HONG KONG ISLAND

The following bus stop arrangements and bus diversions for Citybus Services and New World First Bus Services will be implemented in Central from 2.00 pm on 24 December 2020 to 6.00 am on the following day:

The above bus diversions and bus stop arrangements subject to the discretion of Hong Kong Police.

KOWLOON AND NEW TERRITORIES

(1) Service Adjustment

The following bus routes will implement service adjustment on 24 December 2020:

Cross Harbour Routes

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 307P (from Causeway Bay (Tin Hau) to Tai Po (Ting Tai Road)) will be advanced to 4.10 pm, 4.30 pm, 4.50 pm, 5.10 pm, 5.30 pm, 5.50 pm, 6.10 pm, 6.30 pm, 6.53 pm and 7.16 pm.

The departure time of Cross Harbour Route No. 373 (from Central (Hong Kong Station) to Sheung Shui) will be advanced to 4.15 pm, 4.45 pm, 5.30 pm, 6.10 pm, 6.45 pm and 7.30 pm.

The departure time of Cross Harbour Route No. 678 (from Causeway Bay (Eastern Hospital Road) to Sheung Shui) will be advanced to 4.30 pm, 4.50 pm, 5.10 pm, 5.30 pm, 5.50 pm, 6.10 pm, 6.35 pm and 7.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 680X (from Central (Macau Ferry) to Wu Kai Sha Station) will be advanced to 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 681P (from Sheung Wan to Yiu On) will be advanced to 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 907C (from Admiralty to Tai Po Tau) will be advanced to 4.10 pm and 4.25 pm.

3 The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 960B (from Quarry Bay to Hung Shui Kiu (Hung Fuk Estate) will be advanced to 4.45 pm, 5.15 pm, 5.45 pm, 6.15 pm and 7.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 968X (from Quarry Bay (King’s Road) to Yuen Long (Tak Yip Street)) will be advanced to 4.20 pm, 5.10 pm and 6.25 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 980X (from Admiralty Station (East) to Wu Kai Sha Station) will be advanced to 4.25 pm, 4.45 pm, 5.05 pm, 5.25 pm and 5.45 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 981P (from Admiralty Station (East) to Yiu On) will be advanced to 4.25 pm, 4.55 pm, 5.20 pm, 5.41 pm, 5.55 pm and 6.05 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 982X (from Admiralty Station (East) to Yu Chui Court) will be advanced to 4.15pm, 4.30 pm, 4.45 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.30pm and 5.55 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Cross Harbour Route No. 985 (from Admiralty Station (East) to Mei Tin) will be advanced to 4.30pm, 4.50 pm, 5.10 pm and 5.30 pm.

New Territories Routes

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 43P (from Hong Kong Science Park to Tsuen Wan West Station) will be advanced to 3.30 pm, 3.45 pm, 4.00 pm, 4.15 pm, 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 69C (from Kwun Tong Ferry to TinYan Estate) will be advanced to 3.55 pm, 4.25 pm and 6.05 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 74B (from Kowloon Bay to Tai Po Central) will be advanced to 4.15 pm, 4.30 pm, 4.45 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.15 pm, 5.45 pm, 6.15 pm, 6.45 pm and 7.15 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 74P (from Hong Kong Science Park to Kwun Tong Ferry Pier) will be strengthened and advanced to 4.30 pm and 6.10 pm.

4 The departure time of special departures of Route No. 82C (from Hong Kong Science Park to Kwong Yuen) will be advanced to 3.30 pm and 4.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 82D (from Pak Shek Kok to Tai Wai) will be advanced to 3.30 pm and 4.00 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. X89D (from Nai Chung to Kwun Tong Ferry Pier) will be advanced to 4.10 pm, 4.30 pm, 5.40 pm and 6.10 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 240X (from Wong Nai Tau to Kwai Hing Station) will be advanced to 4.00 pm, 4.20 pm and 6.15 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 259X (from Kwun Tong Ferry to Tuen Mun (Lung Mun Oasis)) will be advanced to 3.45 pm and 4.15 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 263A (from Hong Kong Science Park to Tuen Mun Station) will be advanced to 4.20 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 267X (from Lam Tin Station to Tuen Mun (Siu Hong Court)) will be advanced to 4.35 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 268A (from Kwun Tong Ferry to Long Ping Estate) will be advanced to 4.30 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 268P (from Kwun Tong Ferry to Ma Wang Road (Shan Shui House)) will be advanced to 3.50 pm and 6.10 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 269S (from Kwun Tong Ferry to Tin Shui Wai Town Centre) will be advanced to 4.30 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 270B (from Sham Shui Po to Sheung Shui) will be advanced to 4.30 pm, 4.55 pm and 5.20 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 271B (from West Kowloon Station to Tai Po (Fu Heng)) will be advanced to 4.30 pm, 6.00 pm and 6.45 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 271X (from West Kowloon Station to Tai Po (Fu Heng)) will be advanced to 4.20 pm, 4.40 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.30 pm, 6.00 pm, 6.35 pm and 7.15 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 272E (from Sham Shui Po to Tai Wo) will be strengthened and advanced to 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm.

5 The departure time of special departures of Route No. 272S (from Hong Kong Science Park to Diamond Hill Station) will be advanced to 3.30 pm, 3.45 pm, 4.00 pm, 4.12 pm, 4.24 pm, 4.36 pm, 4.48 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.20 pm, 5.40 pm, 6.00 pm and 6.15 pm.

The departure time of special departures of Route No. 274X (from Kwun Tong Ferry Pier to Tai Po Central) will be strengthened and advanced to 4.00 pm, 4.08 pm, 4.16 pm, 4.24 pm, 4.32 pm, 4.40 pm, 4.48 pm, 4.56 pm, 5.04 pm, 5.12 pm, 5.24 pm, 5.36 pm, 5.50 pm, 6.05 pm, 6.20 pm, 6.35 pm, 6.50 pm and 7.07 pm.

The departure time of Route No. T277 (from Lam Tin Station to Sheung Shui) will be advanced to 4.30 pm, 5.00 pm, 5.30 pm and 6.15 pm.

(2) Diversion of Overnight Cross Harbour Bus Services

The following diversion of bus will be implemented on 25 December 2020:

(E) SUSPENSION OF TAXI STAND AND PUBLIC LIGHT BUS STANDS

(1) Taxi Stand

The taxi stand at Wellington Street between Wyndham Street and D’Aguilar Street will be temporarily suspended from 2.00 pm on 24 December 2020 to 6.00 am on the following day.

(2) Public Light Bus Stands

All public light bus stands at Stanley Street between D’Aguilar Street and Cochrane Street will be temporarily suspended from 4.00 pm on 24 December 2020 to 6.00 am on the following day.

III. REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES

Any vehicle found illegally parked within the precincts of the operation area surrounding Lan Kwai Fong may be towed away without prior warning and / or subjected to multiple ticketing.

6 IV. ATTENTION AND APPEAL

Members of the public are advised to make use of public transport services to avoid traffic congestion and unnecessary delays. The Transport Department (“TD”) and the Police will closely monitor the traffic situation and implement appropriate measures when necessary. The public should pay attention to the latest traffic news as announced on radio and television or publicised through the TD’s mobile application "HKeMobility".
