Through our network, the Council harnesses the power of more than 2,000 experts to provide the knowledge, analysis and thought leadership necessary for fully informed debate, policies, and practices, in order to build a more inclusive, equitable, and secure world for women and girls. The Council and its members serve as a leading source of women’s information for policymakers, media, business, and education leaders and advocates. Women’s research – research by and about women – plays a catalytic role in creating healthy, just, and economically viable societies. Research shows that the well-being of women and girls – economic security, safety, adequate education and health care – has critical impacts on families, communities, and nations. By involving women and girls in developing solutions to the pressing issues before us, the Council brings new perspectives to debates and deepens the pool of knowledge, creativity, and expertise working for change.
