Our Viking Grace is the world’s first large passen- flagship ger that uses liquefied natural gas (LNG) as fuel. With the help of LNG, the ship’s nitro- gen exhausts and particles are decreased by 85 % and greenhouse gases by 15 %. The sulphur exhaust level will be practically zero. Since April 2018 Viking Grace is the first large passenger ship worldwide to be equipped with a rotor sail for the utilisation of wind power. This will cut fuel consumption by 300 t and reduce emissions by up to 900 t annually.

The M/S Seagas was specially built for ship- to-ship refueling for Viking Grace and has already performed its 1000th refuelling in 2016. Viking Grace Seagas is the first vessel of its kind.

Amorella

Coming Our new energy-efficient NB488A in 2020 vessel will be 218 metres in length and have a gross registered tonnage of about 63,000 tonnes. Energy efficiency will be very important in planning and building the ship. Viking Line engages Scandinavian archi- tects for the interior design. The new vessel will provide a brand new passenger experi- ence for our guests.
