Classmate Marianne Sparacia (Spring Hill, Fla.) and freshman Sara Siteman (Hudson, N.H.) follow closely with .336 and .319 averages, respectively. Redshirt-sophomore Casey Hard- ing (Cheshire, Conn.), who is batting .292 in 2018, is tied with Siteman with a team-high 19 RBI. Freshman Lovina Capria (Deltona, Fla.) leads the pitching staff with an 11-6 record and a 2.70 ERA, while Kaysee Talcik is first with a career-best 106 strikeouts. SCOUTING STONY BROOK The Seawolves, who own a _-_ overall record in 2018, earned the No. 3 seed for the conference tournament and defeated No. 6 UMBC to advance to Thursday’s contest against the River Hawks. SBU is led by __ at the plate, batting 2018 AMERICA EAST HONORS Lovina Capria was named the league’s Rookie of the Year, while a total of nine River Hawks combined for 11 All-Conference honors. The nine All-Conference honorees marks a new program record, surpassing the pre- vious record of eight set in 2017. Kaysee Talcik, Courtney Cashman and Marianne Sparacia were all named to the All-America East First Team, while Capria, Casey Harding and senior Vanessa Cooper (Pleasant Gap, Pa.) were named to the Second Team. Capria was joined by Sara Siteman and Maria Moccio (Feeding Hills, Mass.) on the All-Rookie Team.
