Folk High School, What It Is Not! It is important to emphasize that, by law, folk high schools conduct no formal examinations and issue no degrees. After finishing your school year, you will receive a diploma detailing what you have participated in. The folk high schools have different courses from the regular edu­cational system in Norway.

International students at a folk high school who want to continue to study in Norway do not automatically qualify for enrollment as students in a Norwegian college or university; they must meet the same entry requirements as other international students.

Entry Requirements The folk high schools do not require specific diplomas, previous education, or occupational experience to accept students. As an international student, you are expected to know English well or speak some Norwegian. Classes are held 6 days a week, and attendance is required in all but special circumstances. Having a job while you attend a folk high school is not feasible, as lectures and activities will also take place in the evenings and during weekends.

The School Year The school year starts in middle or late August and lasts until the middle of May. A few schools offer half-year (semester) courses, starting in middle or late August or early January. The prices differ greatly according to the major programs you choose and the study trips. Ein Jahr an einer Folkehøgskole in Norwegen gibt dir die einmalige Gelegenheit Land und Leute kennen zu lernen, Norwegisch zu sprechen und mit anderen jungen Menschen aus Norwegen und der ganzen Welt an einer aufregenden Lerngemeinschaft teilzunehmen. Innerhalb von 9 Monaten bieten die Folkehøgskolen die Möglichkeit so viel Neues kennen zu lernen: Menschen, Städte, Freunde, Natur, Sprache, Hobbies und Interessen. Meiner Meinung nach die beste Möglichkeit um Norwegisch zu lernen! Außerdem Über die Folkehøgskolen hat mich gereizt, dass es so eine große Auswahl an Fächern gibt!

Bevor ich nach Norwegen kam habe ich kein einziges Folkehøgskole, was ist das? Ende des Jahres recht gut Norwegisch kannst. Jedoch ist Wort Norwegisch gekonnt. In den ersten Monaten Die Folkehøgskolen sind Einjahres-Internatsschulen, die zum erlernen der Sprache deine eigene Motivation sehr hatte ich Abends eine Stunde Norwegischunter­richt, eine Vielzahl interessanter, moderner und oft auch etwas wichtig, aber das Leben in einem Norwegisch sprechen- zusammen mit zwei anderen Mädchen, um mich erst andere Fächer anbieten. Der Gedanke hinter den Folke­ den Umfeld wird dir dabei sehr hilfreich sein. An einigen einmal mit der Sprache vertraut zu machen und um høgskolen ist für das Leben zu lernen und als Mensch Schulen kannst du die norwegische Sprache und Kultur Fragen stellen zu können.
