Simcox has written for publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, New Republic, Current Trends in Islamist Ideology and the Weekly Standard. He comments in the media for BBC, Sky News, al-Jazeera and Fox News among others, and has spoken on platforms which include U.S. Special Operations Command, the British House of Commons and the European Parliament. Simcox holds an MSc in U.S. Foreign Policy from the Institute for the Study of Americas, University of London, and a BA in History (International) from the University of Leeds, which included a year at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
