MCS students from ages 8 to 12, attended a Red Cross education program “Children in War.” The presentation took the students on a ninety minute journey through which they saw despair as well as hope as experienced in a battlefield. Red Cross workers who had seen war and conflict first hand, explained and taught students about the cruelty of war, justice, peace and, most importantly, compassion. The Music Association presented “Symphonie d’Ete” on Saturday July 6, 2019 in the school hall. The program consisted of music performed by the school orchestra, the Chinese orchestra and the school choir. and Wah Yan Kowloon students joined the MCS musicians and supported the event by performing with the Maryknoll orchestra.

Los Angeles Religious Education Congress (RECongress) March 21 - 24, 2019.

The four-day event is the largest annual gathering of Catholics in the United States with roughly 40,000 people attending. The focus of the RECongress is for those in attendance to learn more about the Catholic faith as well as seek personal growth. It is open to all people of different faiths.

Benefactor’s Day

Maryknoll Sisters Center held its annual Benefactor’s Day on Sunday, May 19. A Mass was held in the morning followed by a luncheon. Maryknoll Sisters are very grateful for the donors whose generosity supports and makes the Sisters’ global mission work possible. At the luncheon Sisters updated benefactors on the latest news and the work of Maryknoll Sisters worldwide.
