Dear Friends Haras Abolengo and Haras Vacación are pleased to invite you to their first Select Sale supported by the expertise of the renowned international sales company ARQANA. The history of both stud farms is defined by a large number of national and international champions, from which, as their greatest exponents, the remarkable Candy Ride and Paseana stand out among others. The common denominator is, and will always be, the unceasing effort and pleasure that involves breeding a Thoroughbred, where we both prioritize “the selection”, as we understand it as the cornerstone of the improvement of the breed. However, in racing everything is a subject for discussion; a well-bred horse, with a nice blacktype pedigree and the irreplaceable contribution of its groom, rider, farrier, veteri- narian, trainer and jockey could have as a result the so desired champion or not. For some years now, our stud farms have been coordinating their annual sales. In May 2017, through Diego Zavaleta and Matías Villamil, we met Mr. Eric Hoyeau, President of Arqana. From that meeting we started working on concrete objectives in the mid and long term: - To have a recognized sales date in the international calendar, where we would sell the best colts and fillies from Argentina, and perhaps in the future, from the region. - To promote the racing industry, given its undeniable social importance and the indisputable quality of the horses that are bred in our country. -To cooperate with the ongoing process of transformation of Argentine racing toward a strong, transparent and highly competitive industry. Finally, we’ve worked together to introduce to future owners a group of quality horses with a lot of effort, ideally, to compete on their own colors, win races and, through them, find a good reason to get together with friends to share all kinds of emotions.
