Gilles Courteau Commissaire Word from the Commissioner ach spring, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Hall of Fame - presented by RDS - immortalizes the E greatest figures of our rich history. Since 1995, forty-five ambassadors have been recognized and celebrated as a result of their contributions to the game of hockey. This year, we welcome four new inductees to the Hall: Pat Burns, Jacques Cossette, Pierre Lacroix and Luc Robitaille. Throughout their distinguished careers, all four individuals have sought new challenges, forever raising the bar in order to surpass their own expectations. I would personally like to thank them for their role in growing our great game. Let us salute their achievements and applaud their excellence. Gilles Courteau Commissioner LIGUE DE HOCKEY JUNIOR MAJEUR DU QUÉBEC INC. Sincèrement, Michel Gagnon Vice-président Vente et Marketing Réseau des sports To the teams and partners of the QMJHL Dear friends, The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Hall of Fame, presented by RDS, is a jewel within the hockey community. It has no equal on the Provincial, National or North American amateur scenes. This is what makes the Hall so precious and prestigious for the few who are inducted. “Le Réseau des Sports” has been a partner of the QMJHL Hall of Fame since the very beginning, and we are proud to actively participate in the growth of its many memories. At each induction ceremony, the pride felt by those we celebrate is moving and palpable. It shows the importance of the years they have spent in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. To all who have left their mark on QMJHL history, and to those who continue to do so, we salute your accomplish- ments. To the 2007 Hall of Fame inductees, RDS offers its most heartfelt congratulations. It is a remarkable and well-deserved honour. INDEPENDENT PUBLISHERS GROUP A Matter of Inches How I Survived in the Crease and Beyond Clint Malarchuk, Dan Robson Summary No job in the world of sports is as intimidating, exhilarating, and stressridden as that of a hockey goaltender. Clint Malarchuk did that job while suffering high anxiety, depression, and obsessive compulsive disorder and had his career nearly literally cut short by a skate across his neck, to date the most gruesome injury hockey has ever seen. This autobiography takes readers deep into the troubled mind of Clint Malarchuk, the former NHL goaltender for the Quebec Nordiques, the Washington Capitals, and the Buffalo Sabres.
