Simply stated, The 134 Turbo, 349-2712 Calendar needs staff and equipment. To date we have depended upon the generosity of individuals who give time and talent to the cause of a community publication. But a going viable business cannot make It on good will alone. We have reached the point when capital investment is needed to provide stability and growth. We believe San Antonio can have a prosperous gay community. We also believe the role of The Calendar is to create and foster the sense of community consciousness necessary for such prosperity. We are looking for others who agree. The importance of commitment was the second valuable lesson of this experience. We were forced to go outside the community for a printer lor the last, late, issue in spite of assurances that deadlines would be met, when push came to shove, they did not share our sense of urgency that gay SA deserves a LACE timely publication. This issue, we're again being printed by Coast Printing. It is good to be home; it is reassuring to be working with people who feel as we do. No matter what happens, Dorothy and Carrol will get The Calendar out on time and in the best quality possible.
