Harewood Estate, in . This first time event will be exploring yoga and meditation with free time E W O

to explore. Or enjoy a relaxing treatment, delivered by our expert therapists in the comfort of a wood O fire lit room. There will be outdoor activities including mindfulness walks within the private grounds of D the Estate. The Food is provided by Harewood Food and Drink Project who have created a bespoke, healthy, low-fat, yet indulgent menu using the best from Harewood’s seasonal larder. The retreat is set in historic parkland with views across the lake to the House and historic Walled gardens. The cottages you will stay in are luxury and we have a range of different rooms available.

Accommodation Offering Harewood Holidays provide a unique selection of self-catering properties, set within the idyllic surroundings of the Harewood Estate. All the properties in our holiday cottage collection have their own unique history and atmosphere, be it a former farm workers cottage or ancient hunting lodge. Yoga and Meditation Offering Our fantastic yoga instructor, Fiona Edwards, will be teaching you a range of different types of yoga during your stay. Fiona is a qualified vinyasa flow yoga instructor who will deliver a programme suitable for all ability levels. She will work to improve flexibility, strength and core through a programme of uplifting and nurturing yoga practice. Throughout the weekend you will practice dynamic yoga flow combined with gentle rest and unwind sessions. The meditation will be provided by Amanda Joy, who will teach a programme of kindfulness meditation and show you different techniques to help you calm a busy mind, switch off, rest and restore. You’ll enter a state of being fully aware of the moment. Not thinking about the past or worrying about the future. After the weekend you’ll take away with you a refreshed mind, renewed energy and the skills to maintain this kindful state.

Food Offering The Harewood Food & Drink Project uses the best produce grown, reared and foraged on the Harewood Estate to create seasonal food and drink experiences, ideal for those who put an emphasis on knowing the provenance and quality of their food. Executive Chef, Josh Whitehead, is a multi-award winning former Masterchef: the professionals semi-finalist who has created a bespoke, healthy, low-fat, yet indulgent menu using the best from Harewood’s seasonal larder. Expect Harewood’s organic rare-breed meats, fruits & vegetables from the walled garden and wild, foraged foods from the estate to feature. Vegetarian and vegan diets will also be well catered for. H A R E W O O Shiro Abhyanga Indian Head Massage D This incredible Ayurvedic Indian Head Massage treatment is performed using our specially selected spring scented oils to nourish the hair and scalp. The oils are warmed and poured onto the head, stress simply dissolves and you will find a deep state of relaxation. Soothe the mind and release tension in the head, neck and upper back area. A selection of marma points and acupressure points are manipulated to direct the flow of energy in a balanced way, aiding the release of pain and tension. Holistic Massage Holistic massage is a form of healing that treats the whole person, body, mind, spirit and emotions. Our holistic massage is bespoke to each client and we draw on our range of specialist knowledge to provide you with a nurturing and intuitive style of massage, just the tonic you need to bring you back into balance on all levels. Beautiful blends of essential oils are used in combination with trigger point therapy, fascia work and chakra balancing from healing hands. We aim to soothe, unwind and awaken your well-being and senses. You can choose to have a full body massage or just a neck shoulder and back massage.

Basalt and Himalayan Rock / Hot Stone Massage Hot stone massage is a speciality full body massage where we use smooth, heated stones as an extension of our hands. Beginning with our basalt hot stones to deeply relax muscle tension. We place the heated rocks on your body or use them to loosen tension. You’ll find the heat can be both deeply relaxing and release tight muscles. Our Himalayan salt massage rocks are then used. Your skin will feel refreshed and exfoliated. Turn off stress and unwind.

Reflexology D We begin your session with a warming refreshing foot spa, using selected locally sourced seasonal herbs and botanicals. This is followed by our reflexology massage that uses a combination of the ancient art of Thai reflexology, Traditional Chinese Acupressure massage and modern day Zone therapy. Our Reflexology foot massage techniques aid the reduction of tension to provide the ultimate enjoyable, relaxing, and rejuvenating experience that aids in healing of the mind, body, and soul. During your session differing pressures are applied to specific areas of the feet. We use different stretches to loosen tension, putting the spring back in your step.

Back Neck and Shoulder Massage with Theraputic Oils Many of us hold tension in our neck, shoulders and back and this prescription massage will ease stress and muscular tension in those areas. The carefully selected calming scents, in combination with Shen Dao pressure points will help to relax you deeply. During our therapeutic oil massage a prescription of oils will be specially selected to help you achieve a more calm, uplifting, or energised state depending on how you are feeling. Our oils are locally sourced and many of our botanicals are grown on the estate and are selected reflecting the season, giving you body just what it needs for the time of year. Oils may be heated or applied to aid cooling as with all our treatments this is a prescription massage leaving you feeling calm, nourished and balanced. Tui Na Aroma Facial Our Tui Na Aroma facial works as a natural face-lift, helping you achieve younger looking skin. This treatment will help to brighten your complexion and smooth out wrinkle lines. Using acupressure points we help to restore balance throughout the body and we use powerful therapeutic oils to bring nourishment to your skin. Tui Na Aroma Facial is nourishing, promotes clear skin, removes dead skin cells, regenerating and deeply relaxing - leaving you fresh and glowing.

England, and its collections of art, flora and fauna to rival the finest in Britain. Edwin Lascelles D started building Harewood House in 1759 and he wanted nothing but the best for his new home. He employed the finest craftsmen of the time: York-born architect , fashionable interior designer , ’s greatest furniture maker Thomas Chippendale and visionary landscape gardener Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. During your stay with us you will have some free time where you can enjoy Harewood Trust's exhibitions of contemporary art, see endangered species in their Bird Garden or explore the Trust's range of exquisite gardens. Our cottages give access to 15 miles of footpaths right from your doorstep. These include three famous walking routes ( Country Way, Ebor Way and Dales Way), which criss-cross the Estate. Enjoy our ever-changing seasons and landscapes as you look out for our rare breed livestock, Fallow, Reed and Roe deer and native wildlife such as the majestic Red Kite. Weather permitting we will take two guided walks, one to the Trout Ponds. Here you will experience a mindful walk through forests lined with Rhododendron bushes.

The second walk will be shorter and take us around the lake and Harewood Trust's Walled Gardens. These are the oldest Gardens in Harewood House Trust and have been producing fresh heritage fruit and vegetables since 1759. This is now a working kitchen garden and some of the ingredients in your food, will have been hand picked from here.

All of our fixtures and fittings have been chosen with O D sustainability in mind, for example our wooden furniture is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) approved as from sustainable sources, our picnic tables are made using recycled bottles and our toiletries are eco-friendly. In addition, our properties offer further green credentials being heated by renewable energy from our on-site biomass plant, powered by thinning from our woodland operations on the estate, helping you holiday with ethical, environmental and sustainable credentials. Set in historic parkland and offering superb views across open countryside to Harewood Lake and Harewood house beyond, these quirky Grade II Listed cottages were designed by and named after Robert Carr. Carr House and Cottage both have a stylish kitchen, bathroom with a bath and shower, a spacious kitchen and lounge area.
