The City of Compton supports small businesses as a key part of the City’s success. Small Business Saturday is celebrated on the Saturday after the Thanksgivings Holiday, and in 2017 that day is November 25th.

“Small Business Saturday” encourages residents and visitors to shop at one of the City’s local small businesses to discover great products and services as a way to rally round enjoying the holidays.

The ‘Hub City’ of Compton is emerging as one of the Gateway region’s most dynamic shopping environments with 26 of the nation’s top 100 retailers delivering quality products and services, as well as local hiring opportunities for the City’s residents. Founded in 2010 by American Express, Small Business Saturday is a campaign to help small businesses gain more exposure during one of the biggest shopping weekends of the year. Each year, Compton businesses and shoppers join over 100 million people participating in the shopping Saturday activity between and Cyber Monday.
