The presentation – part of the network’s on-air, online and off-air celebration of the Broadway opening of the Mel Brooks musical of the same name – scored double-digit gains in rating and delivery among its target A25-54 audience as well as total viewers over last year. TV Land also scored double-digit ratings and delivery gains among its core audience A40-54. According to Nielsen Media Research, Young Frankenstein (10 p.m.), posted a 0.5/504,000 among A25- 54, up+25% in rating and +23% in delivery over last year. TV Land averaged 891,000 total viewers, an increase of +21% over YAGO. Among its core audience, Adults 40-54, TV Land again scored double- digit gains in rating and delivery, averaging a 0.7/368,000, representing a rise of +40% in rating and +32% in delivery. The film -- which aired as part of TV Land’s Friday night programming block, “Movieland” -- premiered in 1974 and was directed and co-written by Mel Brooks and stars Gene Wilder, Teri Garr, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, Peter Boyle, and Marty Feldman. -

He’s basically a nervous person. He lives with Lucien P. Smith who fancies very big books, and Norman who works in the doughnut shop, and Barry who has schizophrenia and has convinced himself that he is a golf pro. In addition to an apartment, these guys share a caseworker named Jack who, despite his genuine concern for his clients, is on the verge of total burn-out. The Boys Next Door is a gentle comedy from the late 80s set in a group home for people who are developmentally disabled. As playwright Tom Griffin reveals the daily struggles of his characters to make sense of their world and their places in it, he reminds us to consider how much we take for granted every day. The Boys Next Door is very funny and very touching. Running October 19 through November 6, The Boys Next Door will be performed in the Archbold Theatre at Syracuse Stage, 820 East Genesee Street.
