We expect this meeting to be exceptional, and it has the highest number of accepted abstracts in the history of our association . For this year’s meeting, the barbecue will be quite nontraditional, as we honor our Canadian hosts with a Bon Temps Fête . This event will provide all attendees with a unique experience complete with Canadian cuisine, including poutine! The venue, a nearby historic railway station, is being transformed into an extravagant casino . Everyone attending the Bon Temps Fête can test their luck at blackjack, roulette, and poker using play money . In addition, all attendees will be entered into a raffle for an opportunity to win a limited-edition PSA poker chip set . Be sure to get your tickets early; this event sells out each year! Karen Schwean-Lardner and the Annual Meeting Program Committee have worked tirelessly to bring together this outstanding program with 10 symposia, 715 scientific presentations, including 35 five-minute presentations with accompanying posters, and the National Poultry Extension Workshop . This is the most abstracts at any PSA meeting! International participation is strong and indicative of a more globally representative Poultry Science Association . The Board of Directors wishes to especially thank our crucial annual meeting sponsors that have generously helped make this meeting exceptional .
