At this point, several questions emerge: Who is this end time antichrist? At what stage of history does he appear? What is he like and how does he act? In the course of Christian history, many candidates have been proposed as the fulfillment of the little horn and beast prophecies of Daniel and Revelation: Benito Mussolini (Premier of Italy 1922-1943) Adolph Hitler (Fuhrer of Germany 1934-1945) Ayatollah Khomeini (Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and led the 1979 revolution that overthrew the Shah in 1979) Yasser Arafat (Chairman of the PLO and President of the Palestinian Authority) Henry Kissinger (Secretary of State during the presidency of Richard Nixon) Saddam Hussein (dictator of Iraq who was hung in the gallows) Barack Obama (president of the United States) A future nasty individual who will rebuild the Jewish temple, build an image of himself, impose a tattoo on the forehead and right hand of his followers, and persecute the Jews for three and a half years Some say it is Donald Trump ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Prophetic Panorama by Pastor Stephen Bohr | SecretsUnsealed.org | Page 3 of 237 It is obvious that all of these proposed candidates were just guesses. However, we do not need to guess because the Bible tells: When this power would arise Where it would arise What it would be like A Systematic, Disciplined, Careful, Contextual Approach In this presentation, we shall use a careful, disciplined, systematic and logical approach. Our study will use no guesswork, no unfounded assumptions and no conjecturing. We will use a method that springs from the Bible text itself. I have called it the historical flow method. This method gives us the starting point of the great prophetic chain, its ending point and everything in between. In my favorite book on the philosophy of Education, we find the following words: “The history which the great I AM has marked out in His word, uniting link after link in the prophetic chain, from eternity in the past to eternity in the future, tells us where we are today in the procession of the ages, and what may be expected in the time to come. All that prophecy has foretold as coming to pass, until the present time, has been traced on the pages of history, and we may be assured that all which is yet to come will be fulfilled in its order.” Education, p. 178) Prophecy’s Method Begins in the day when the prophet wrote Concludes when God sets up His everlasting kingdom The middle portion flows without any interruptions or parentheses You know exactly where you are in the flow of history and where things are leading A Symbolic Portrayal It is important to realize that in prophecy, we are dealing with symbols and we cannot take these symbols literally. In real life, there are no such things as lions with eagle’s wings, leopards with four heads and dragons with iron teeth and ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Prophetic Panorama by Pastor Stephen Bohr | SecretsUnsealed.org | Page 4 of 237 ten horns. Daniel 7 the antichrist as a little horn and in Revelation 13 as the beast. It is obvious that the antichrist is neither a horn nor a beast, literally speaking! In Bible prophecy, a symbol represents something far greater than the mere symbol. Symbols must be decoded to determine their meaning. Sometimes the immediate context provides the meaning of a symbol but other times we must go to other parts of the Bible to determine its meaning. So let’s begin our study of the great prophetic chain in Daniel 7. The Date of Daniel 7 The first year of King Belshazzar is 550 BC. The kingdom of Babylon was still going to rule for 11 more years. This means that everything in Daniel 7 was future in Daniel’s day. We shall find that Daniel 7 and Revelation 13 announce events, with mathematical precision, that were as far away as two thousand five hundred years in Daniel’s day. Winds and Sea Daniel 7:1, 2: Winds represent military wars and conflicts “In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. Then he wrote down the dream, telling the main facts. 2 Daniel spoke, saying, "I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the Great Sea.” Isaiah 17:12: The churning waters of the Great Sea represent multitudes of nations and peoples “Woe to the multitude of many people who make a noise like the roar of the seas, and to the rushing of nations that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!” “Winds are a symbol of strife. The four winds of heaven striving upon the great sea represent the terrible scenes of conquest and revolution by which kingdoms have attained to power.” GC, p. 440 ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Prophetic Panorama by Pastor Stephen Bohr | SecretsUnsealed.org | Page 5 of 237 Four Great Beasts Daniel 7:3: Four Beasts “And four great beasts came up from the sea, each different from the other.” Daniel 7:17: The very same chapter provides the meaning of the four beasts: “'Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.” These beasts represent a succession of kings that rule over a succession of four kingdoms. In the book of Daniel, the words ‘kings’ and ‘kingdoms’ are used interchangeably. This can be seen clearly in Daniel 2:38 where Daniel tells King Nebuchadnezzar that he was the head of gold but after him another kingdom would arise. It is also seen in Daniel 7:23 where the fourth beast is explicitly referred to as a ‘fourth kingdom’ that shall arise in the earth. Daniel 8:20: “The ram which you saw, having two horns—they are the kings of Media and Persia.” It should not surprise us that beasts represent nations, for even today, nations frequently have a mascot: The United States: Eagle Russia: Bear England: Lion China: Dragon Australia: Red Kangaroo Bangladesh: The Bengal Tiger Canada: The North American Beaver Colombia: The Andean Condor France: The Gallic Rooster ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The Prophetic Panorama by Pastor Stephen Bohr | SecretsUnsealed.org | Page 6 of 237 The Lion One important point to notice: The passive voice of many of the verbs of Daniel 7 clearly points to someone who is directing historical events from behind the scenes. In the book of Daniel, the ‘watchers’ or angels are the agents through which God directs the wheels of history. Daniel 7:4: The LION “The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I watched till its wings were plucked off; and it was lifted up from the earth and made to stand on two feet like a man, and a man's heart was given to it.” The prophetic chain begins with Babylon, the kingdom in which Daniel lived and thus we have a definite starting point to the chain! When King Nebuchadnezzar built the ancient

Or point of time, which is very short indeed; what a moment is, according to the Jewish doctors, See Gill on Matthew 4:8. In the twinkling of an eye; these two the Jews not only put together as here, but make one to be as the other; so they say (k), , "a moment is as the twinkling of an eye". This phrase, as the twinkling of an eye, is frequently used in Jewish writings (l), to signify how speedily ard suddenly anything is done, and which is the design of it here; and the apostle's meaning is, that the change upon the bodies of living saints will be so quick, that it will be done in a trice, before a man can shut his eyes and open them again; so that it will be as it were imperceptible, and without the least sensation of pain; this may also be referred to the resurrection, which will be quick, and done at once; though it seems rather, and chiefly, to respect the change of the living; what follows, indeed, favors the other sense also; for all will be quick and sudden, the coming of Christ, the raising of the dead, and the change of the living: at the last trumpet, for the trumpet shall sound; or "by the last trumpet", as the Syriac and Arabic versions render it; that is, by means of it, through the sounding of that: and the dead shall be raised incorruptible; free from all frailty, mortality, and corruption, when the trumpet shall sound: and at the same time also, we shall be changed; the

  • The Uses of Christian Apocalyptic Imagery in Contemporary Popular Fictional Works
newone.doc 12/1/00 COMPETING FICTIONS: THE USES OF CHRISTIAN APOCALYPTIC IMAGERY IN CONTEMPORARY POPULAR FICTIONAL WORKS PART ONE: PREMILLENNIALIST APOCALYPTIC FICTIONS Thomas M. Doyle I. INTRODUCTION Two forms of fiction using Christian apocalyptic imagery have recently entered mainstream popular culture. The first form I will refer to as premillennialist apocalyptic fiction. This form is usually in the style of the contemporary political thriller or techno-thriller. Its essence is that follows the outlines of the modern premillennialist “rooster” 1 script as first popularized by The Late Great Planet Earth,2 typically with more attention to prophetic detail than The Omen and other earlier fictional (often horror) works.3 The second form, which I will refer to as anti-apocalyptic fiction, has emerged from various precedents in the science fiction and fantasy genres and uses Christian apocalyptic imagery to question the fundamentals of the premillennialist vision. The emergence of these forms is indicative of changes within society and publishing affecting the receptiveness to millennial themes in fiction and changes in millennial concerns as we approached the years 2000-2001. The contrasts among these forms and the interpretive works that spawned them illustrate the broader structural distinctions among the varieties of theological and fictional (specifically science fiction/fantasy and political or techno-thriller) modes of discourse. Both forms have the potential either to mitigate millennial tension or, in their more extreme forms and in confrontation with each other, to heighten such tension. 1 Term taken from the Center for Millennial Studies lexicon. UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA Los Angeles Marketing Miracles: The Modern Relationship between Hollywood and Christian Filmmaking A dissertation submitted in partial satisfaction of the requirements for the degree Doctor of Philosophy in Film & Television by Benjamin Nelson Sampson 2016 © Copyright by Benjamin Nelson Sampson 2016 ABSTRACT OF THE DISSERTATION Marketing Miracles: The Modern Relationship between Hollywood and Christian Filmmaking by Benjamin Nelson Sampson Doctor of Philosophy in Film and Television University of California, Los Angeles, 2016 Professor Denise R. Mann, Chair This dissertation examines the relationship between Hollywood and American Christianity from 1998 to the present—a time frame that encompasses the recent rise of the “Christian blockbusters.” This period saw unprecedented interaction between Hollywood and what has been called the “Christian film industry,” or “Holywood”—a loose and ever-changing assortment of Christian film companies and independent filmmakers that have operated in one form or another since the silent era and whose productions were, until recently, primarily relegated to local theatrical markets, church screenings, and Christian television. Although historically unprecedented, this new interaction between Hollywood and “Holywood” can be understood as a clear extension of the rise of both new media technology and transmedia industries. This ii dissertation argues that a once not-for-profit filmmaking exercise by Christian filmmakers, for the purposes of inner-church ministry, has now become a huge business built upon selling films to churches as resources for both inner-church ministry and outer-church evangelism. Indeed, the business has grown so profitable that Hollywood studios now regularly market their mainstream wares to Christian audiences as well, utilizing the rise of middle-men marketing firms to reach faith-based demographics and speak a Christian sales language unfamiliar to most studios.

Instead of being a frightening person, he will be greatly honored, respected, and loved by the majority of the world. He will also be accepted as the prophesied Christ to rule the world in peace and prosperity. When [his] Anti-christian Kingdom is finally destroyed, the world will not rejoice in thanksgiving for their release from oppression and Satanic control. They will do just the opposite. People will “weep and mourn” over Babylon’s collapse (Revelation 18:11). They will “bewail” and “lament” because this kingdom of human excellence and perfection has come to an end. Trade and craft will have reached dazzling heights of prosperity under the “Beast.” Culture and the fine arts will show the apex of human accomplishment during his reign. The Secret of the Number 666 FROM ANTIQUITY TO ANTICHRIST: THE BRITISH ROYAL SECRET EXPOSED Two Royal Families in Great Britain have claimed of them to be descendants of the Royal House of David, a Bloodline which supposedly produced many of the ruling Houses of Europe today, including the British Monarchy and current ruling House of Windsor. The other family important to this lineage is the Scottish House of Stuart (Spencer), whose most infamous descendant was the late Princess Diana. While there is discrepancy as to whether or not the Windsor claims to the Throne of England are legitimate (being descendants of the Germanic House of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha), most agree that the Stuart lineage are not only the rightful heirs to the Throne of England (and Scotland), yet also to the Throne of David, and Israel itself.

  • A Paper Prepared by Stephen P. Bohr Senior Pastor Fresno Central Church
FUTURISM’S INCREDIBLE JOURNEY: The Change of the Times and its Implications for Seventh-day Adventist Apocalyptic Interpretation A Paper prepared by Stephen P. Bohr Senior Pastor Fresno Central Church A Spectacular Scenario “By means of a secret rapture, millions of Christians will suddenly vanish. Snatched up to heaven to meet Christ in the clouds, they will not have to face the trials that are to come upon the earth. This disappearing act ushers in the seven-year tribulation. For the first three-and-one-half years human conditions gradually deteriorate. Meanwhile, political and military power shifts to a European confederacy led by the Antichrist. This strong man miraculously survives a head wound and gains unprecedented power. At a point of crisis he orchestrates a seven-year peace treaty in the Middle East. However, the Antichrist, who bears Satan’s mark—666—then demonstrates his true nature. About midway through the tribulation he and his assistant, the false prophet, terrorize the world and compel everyone to bear the mark 666 on their hands or forehead. “At this point the Antichrist moves to Jerusalem from Rome, where he has been ruling. In the rebuilt temple of Jerusalem he blasphemes God, breaks the peace pact, and persecutes Israel. All chaos breaks out—looting, arson, famines, pollution, plagues, drug abuse, occultism, demon possession, economic dislocations, and lawlessness are rampant. Natural disasters abound: earthquakes destroy the land, the weather becomes bizarre, and stars fall from the sky. “Then, as history draws to a close, a great battle takes place. Armies from the North, the Far East, and Arab nations meet on the mountain of Megiddo in Israel.

Hollywood’s End of Days: Visions of Biblical Apocalypse and the Transposition of a Secular Science Fiction Film Genre Antonio Degouveia Submitted for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy University of East Anglia School of Art, Media and American Studies December 2016 This copy of the thesis has been supplied on condition that anyone who consults it is understood to recognise that its copyright rests with the author and that use of any information derived there-from must be in accordance with current UK Copyright Law. In addition, any quotation or extract must include full attribution. 1 Abstract Amid the often complex and paradoxical relationship between Hollywood and American Christianity lies the dichotomy between the archaic and the futuristic, and the way in which biblical beliefs have been intertwined into the seemingly discordant realm of science fiction. Hollywood, as an institution that has often been regarded as pronouncedly secular, was once deemed at the opposite end of the cultural spectrum to American evangelical belief – in much the same way that science and religion are often identified as conflicting arenas of ideological latitude. My study lays emphasis to the fact that biblical allegory and religious cabal are now adopted by Hollywood on a frequent basis, and cinematic visions of apocalypse, incorporating ideas of biblical ‘myth’ and prophecy, are often framed within the machinations of science fiction. What makes this development all the more intriguing is that, in effect, this represents an ideological inversion of what had not only been an expressly secular 20 th century (sub)genre of science fiction cinema, but one which had often incorporated a denigration of religion as a whole.

  • Chapter 3: the Social Network of Premillennialist Websites
Chapter 3: The Social Network of Premillennialist Websites Paula Nicole Booke Ph.D. Candidate University of Chicago [email protected] Premillennialism is an important political phenomenon in America. It has profound implications for preference on a wide range of policy fields from foreign policy to environmentalism. This chapter offers a brief history and theory of the politicization of premillennialism in the American context and using social network analysis examines the relationship between this phenomenon and preference for policy positions on Israel, secularization, globalization, environmentalism and government regulation. Web-based network analysis which offers both an important methodological tool and a theoretical paradigm is used to examine the social structures of premillennial websites and their relationship to the policies implicit in the narrative of premillennialism. Increasingly, the World Wide Web has come to represent a virtual forum for the exchange of ideas; connecting website creators to specific and knowledgeable issue publics, as well as informing audiences about and converting them to new points of view. Using the IssueCrawler program I performed a co-link (relational) analysis. Three separate networks will be examined: Christian Right Elite Network, Beliefnet Black Spiritual Leader Network, and a Issue Centric Network. The networks are examined for evidence of premillennial policy positions to ascertain whether or not elites link their online audiences to the policy positions implicit in the premillennial narrative. The author thanks the University of Rochester Northeast Consortium for Faculty Diversity Fellowship 2008-2009 and Professor Valeria Sinclair-Chapman for her kind advice; my committee members Melissa Harris-Lacewell of Princeton University, John Brehm of the University of Chicago, Corwin Smidt of Calvin College and Jean Elshtain of the University of Chicago for their gracious support; as well as Richard Rogers and the Govcom.org Foundation for use of the IssueCrawler program.

  • Tbn Ministries Exposed As a Masonic Fraud
TBN MINISTRIES EXPOSED AS A MASONIC FRAUD By: Dr. Michael Sunstar Copyright 2006 FOR INTERNET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY NOT FOR SALE ALL SOURCES REFERENCED SUNSTAR ESSAY – 150 PAGES Let it be known that I never watched TBN ministries! As a Christian I quite rejected this terrible broadcast station as a fraud. How could anyone have taken Jan and Paul Crouch seriously? I believe that they were used in a plot to destroy Christianity and not bring people to Jesus Christ. I believe that the Jesus most of the TBN ministers followed was the anti-Jesus or another Jesus not written about in Scripture. They followed THE DOLLAR and assisted the banks in becoming wealthier. As a Christian I saw TBN ministries as an imposter to the Gospel and the Truths that Jesus taught and I always viewed its ministers, such as Jack Van Impe, Benny Hinn, Jerry Falwell, DOLLAR, Jan & Paul Crouch as a bunch of lunatics who did not properly represent my Faith in Jesus. This volume, concerning TBN ministries INCLUDES: 1. HAL LINDSEY’S EXPULSION FROM TBN AND SOME OF SUNSTAR/SUNSTAR’S COMMENTS 2. THE MASONIC AFFILIATIONS OF TBN MINISTRIES AND WHY TBN SHOULD BE DISREGARDED AS AN ANTI-CHRIST INSTITUTION FULL OF FRAUDULENT MINISTERS – ARTICLES RESEARCHED FROM OTHER MINISTRIES My grandmother watched him faithfully before she died and I got to watch Hal Lindsey’s shows. My mother watches him faithfully every week with great joy and anticipation. Although I detest and abhor TBN Ministries as a false gospel and hold the highest contempt for about 95% of the TBN ministers, regarding TBN ministers as imposters to the Christian faith, I have been a long supporter of Hal Lindsey’s Global Intelligence Report Broadcasted on TBN.

1 Apocalyptic Dread, Kierkegaard, and the Cultural Landscape of the Millennium HUGE METEOR IS ON A COLLISION course with earth. A giant radioac- tive creature threatens Manhattan as Godzilla goes on a rampage. A Volcanoes spew lava and huge tidal waves threaten cities. Out- breaks of the Ebola virus spread through the United States. The devil has come to town and it is the end of days. In the last decade of the twentieth century, a new cycle of Hollywood disaster movies from Independence Day to Godzilla, and from Deep Impact to Volcano, depicted crisis on a global scale. Survivalist groups began stockpiling supplies, businesses anxiously evaluated their computer systems in light of the Millennium (or Y2K) bug,1 and unknown to the public, the Clinton administration arrested a series of individuals who had been plotting to blow up Los Angeles and New York in the “Millennium plot.” As the marker of a new year, decade, and millennium drew closer, long-standing apocalyptic anxieties about the overdetermined year 2000 became evident in American popular cul- ture, public policy, and journalism. This anxiety about the future and about the end of the world drew upon long-standing eschatological proph- ecies about Armageddon drawn from Revelations, Daniel, and other Christian and Jewish apocalyptic texts. I will argue that these social anxieties, fears, and ambivalence about global catastrophe, which I call apocalyptic dread, took explicit narrative form in American cinema of the late nineties and continued into the first 1 © 2007 State University of New York Press, Albany 2 Apocalyptic Dread years of the twenty-first century.
