Water Supply, Sanitation, Solid / Liquid Waste Management 29 Connective Infrastructure The road from Pannikkkala to Karippala in the Vithura Grama Panchayat of Thiruvananthapuram district was metalled and tarred util- ising the Performance Grant share of ` 9,50,000. The road has a natural drain. The road passes through the tribal area and the beneficiaries num- ber around 150 tribal families. During the financial year 2012-13, the Thiruvarppu Grama Panchayat in Kottayam District spent ` 10,00,000 for concreting the road connect- ing Ayyanmathra and Palathra. The length of the road is 400 metres and the width is 3 metres. The project was completed in two years with an expenditure of ` 10,45,000 which was met from the Performance Grant share of KLGSDP. The centre is functioning twice in a week. The doctors of the Primary Health Cen- tre visits the centre and give treat- ment for Blood Pressure and Blood Sugar. Prenatal and post-natal care is a key objective of the centre.
