Loma Vista Farm Clean Up - April 28

On April 28, Friends of Loma Vista and volunteers from Lowes will be hosting a work day at the Loma Vista Farm to clean up the farm, build a new goat barn, build a new fence, and prepare for the Spring Festival. On May 5, the Solano Land Trust will be hosting its 10th Annual Lynch Canyon Kite Festival from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Lynch Canyon Ranch. The Festival is free and open to all ages and ability levels. Attendees are invited to bring a kite, cameras for pictures, sturdy closed-toe shoes, drinking water, and their own picnic. The Loma Vista Farm provides hands-on, educational activities involving plants and animals for students and children of all ages and abilities. Admission is free, though activity tickets are $.50. The spring festival will offer items for sale, including California native plants, organic vegetables, herbs, succulents and food.

South Vallejo Resource Fair - May 22

Visit the South Vallejo Resource Fair on May 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Temple Apostolic Church to receive medical and dental screenings, information about healthy options and support for families. Food Truck Mania - May 23

The City of Vallejo and SactoMoFo invite all community members to the Vallejo Food Truck Mania on April 25 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests can enjoy an assortment of gourmet food trucks from throughout northern California including Buckhorn Grill (BBQ), Cowtown Creamery (Dessert), Kado's Asian Grill, and Slider Nation. All vendors accept cash and credit/debit cards, and many food trucks offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meal options. While tables and chairs will be provided, guests are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs to enjoy their meal picnic style. Attendees can bring well-behaved pets that will not be bothered by loud noises or crowds. Food Truck Mania will take place at the Vallejo Waterfront the fourth Wednesday of each Month through October 2018, located at 289 Mare Island Way. On May 29, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Caliber: ChangeMakers Academy will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion of their new school building in Vallejo, located at 500 Oregon Street.
