[Page 1]

[Panel 1: A few seconds after the end of the last issue. Cindy has punted a plate at Mayday’s head, clanging against her as Peter seizes the distraction.]

Cindy: Heads up, Mayday!

Mayday: RAGH!

Peter: You’re in timeout, young lady!

[Panel 2: Peter picks Mayday up, tossing her off to the side as he gets up.]

Peter: Get off!

[Panel 3: Peter hands an unconscious Mayday over to MJ, who has Annie holding her hand.]

Annie: Daddy, are you okay? What happened to Big-sis?

Peter: I’m fine, sweetie.

MJ, get them both out of here. Cindy and I’ll get the Six out into the open while you--

MJ: Got it. Love you.

Peter: Love you too.

[Panel 4: Felicia has moved to shield MJ, as Peter and Cindy plow their way through the to the other side of the room.]

Felicia: I’ve got you, MJ. We’re getting you out of here.

MJ: Thanks, Felicia.

Spider-Man: Okay, then.

So! Who wants to go down first?

[Panel 5: Spider-Man and go flying through the window, blasted out by slamming them against the surface.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Not exactly what I meant, but… okay.

[Page 2]

[Panel 1: Spider-Man and Silk cough up sand as the Sinister Six surround them; in the background, MJ and the other Parkers are being helped into a passing taxi by Felicia.]

Silk: Ow.

Spider-Man: Gonna take more than that to take us out, Kingsley.

Hobgoblin: Oh, really? You and what army?

[Panel 2: A red-and-black blur comes down and tackles out of the sky, as the other Sinister Six members look on it shock.]

???: This one!

[Panel 3: The new members of the game make themselves known in a large panel: and ; Kaine standing in a pose similar to Peter’s return page in Superior Spider-Man #30, while Hummingbird floats behind him, eyes glowing.]

Scarlet Spider: Good thing you decided to pick a fight before I slipspaced back to Houston.

Hummingbird: Technically, I’m here all the time.

But, y’know, point stands.

[Panel 4: Scarlet Spider helps Spider-Man up, as Aracely floats around in the background, eyes still glowing.]

Scarlet Spider: Up you get.

Spider-Man: Thanks.

Aracely, you able to play havoc and do some Thought Warfare?

Hummingbird: Trying…

No. They’ve got some kind of mental blocks in place.

Unless we thin down their numbers—

[Panel 5: The four get into position to fight as a cackling leads the Sinister six towards them.]

Aracely: — I won’t have much luck.

Spider-Man: Well, this’ll be fun.

[Page 3]

[Panel 1: Mayday wakes up in the cab she, MJ and Annie crammed into, with Felicia sitting in the front beside the driver. Everything’s quiet, but her eyes flutter open to see the change in scenery, as MJ tries to calm her down.]

Mayday: What…. What happened?

MJ: Shhh… hey, you’re okay.

We got you away from the fight. Peter and Cindy will take care of everything.

Mayday: No, I… I have to help. Make up for what I…

[Panel 2: Mayday slams her hand against the glass barrier, which the taxi driver acknowledges.]

Mayday: Oi. Pull the cab over.

Driver: You got it.

[Panel 3: As the cab pulls over, Mayday has already the flung the door open and hit the ground running at a full-on sprint.]

MJ [Inside the taxi]: Mayday! Wait!

[Panel 4: Mostly blank panel. Aside from Mayday and her immediate surroundings (Including MJ and Annie) the majority of the panel is negative space, as she goes at a beeline down the street.]

Mayday: Have to make things right…

[Page 4]

[Panel 1: Cut back to the fight between the Spider-Family. The entire street is in chaos, as Spider-Man and Silk try to lead the fight away from the civilians, while Scarlet Spider and Hummingbird are corralling them into following the former two.]

Spider-Man: Alright, we’re on the move!

Silk: Did you cook up a plan in the last five minutes?

Spider-Man: Kind of!

[Panel 2: Spider-Man and Silk swinging as Spidey explains his plan. Silk’s eyes are lined with confusion.]

Silk: Define “Kind of?”

Spider-Man: The part I’ve thought up is simple.

Get the Six away from as many civilians as possible.

Move them somewhere we can fight on our own terms.

It’s the “somewhere” part I’m still working on?

[Panel 3: Silk’s eyes widen, as Spider-Man points downwards.]

Silk: That’s… actually pretty straightforward.

I like it.

Spider-Man: Hope so.

There’s our place.

[Panel 4: All three Spiders (Plus Hummingbird) are on the move, swinging into Holland Tunnel. (I-78 and headed towards Jersey City.) In the corner of the panel, you can see Lady Octopus’ arm carrying her.]

Scarlet Spider: And we’re going into Holland Tunnel because?...

Spider-Man: This is a Spider-Man classic. There’s nowhere near enough room for the Six to move around.

The bigger guns will have to stay behind and we can pick off the weak links.

Silk: Boss, I think it’s working!

[Panel 5: As Lady Octopus and Vulture give pursuit, the others remain behind, with ’s portals coming off of his body.]

Silk [OP]: They’re holding back!

And Spot’s… doing... something?

What are?--

Spider-Man [OP]: Silk, eyes forward!

Silk [OP]: Alright, I’m--

[Panel 6: Close shot of Spider-Man and Silk already inside of the tunnel, with both Silk’s eyes and Spider-Man’s lenses widened in terror.]

Silk: Oh.

I think I get the frantic tone.

[Page 5]

[Panel 1: Massive panel, with Spider-Man, Silk and Scarlet Spider swinging (And Hummingbird floating) above a traffic jam in Holland Tunnel. Normally, this would be a common sight; the difference is the irrational number of Spot’s portals lining the walls and cars around them.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: They knew I’d do this.

They’ve got the whole city rigged.

Hobgoblin: Hey, kid, you want that 21st birthday drink before or after you die?

[Panel 2: Hobgoblin cackles, tossing a pumpkin bomb into the portal nearest him. Sandman and jam whatever they can (Limbs, tails, sand appendages, etc.) into other portals surrounding them.]

Hobgoblin: Showtime, boys!

HAHAHAHA!

[Panel 3: Peter barely lands on the roof of a car, making sure to stay mobile as the portal nearest him expels a pumpkin bomb.]

Spider-Man: Whoa!

Everybody, keep moving!

Scarlet Spider: Oh, sure, like you have to remind me!

[Page 6 and 7] [Double page spread]

[Panel 1:Spreads over the top half of both pages. Spider-Man, Silk, Hummingbird and Scarlet Spider are dodging attacks from all sides, and Holland Tunnel has descended into chaos. Everything from pillars of sand to exploding pumpkin bombs are swarming around them, and it’s become a chore to stay alive.]

Spider-Man: Watch yourself!

Silk: What Scarlet said! You don’t have to remind me!

Spider-Man: Did I make some kind of lame dad joke without realizing it?

Everybody’s so tense these days!

Scarlet Spider: I think the kid’s more focused on not dying than laughing at a joke, Pete!

Spider-Man: Doesn’t matter! We need to get to the end of the tunnel and double back!

[Panel 2: Beginning the bottom half of the spread. Lady Octopus and Vulture are deftly dodging the explosions and stingers/pincers from the portals.]

Lady Ock: Hey!

Watch your aim, !

Vulture: If you were truly as adept with those arms as you say you are, this needn’t be a problem.

Hurry up!

We’re losing them!

[Panel 3: Spider-Man and Silk shoot out of the top of the tunnel, Scarlet Spider and Hummingbird not far behind.]

Scarlet Spider: Okay, so step one is done.

Now what?

[Panel 4: Spider-Man allows the other three to overtake him, firing a web behind all of them.]

Spider-Man: Now?

We start picking off the Six.

[Panel 5: The web spreads, tangling up in Vulture’s wings and catching in his mask.]

Spider-Man [OP]: One by one.

Vulture: AGH!

Octopus, I need--

[Panel 6: Spider-Man uppercuts a webbed-up Vulture, slinging another web to catch up with the others.]

Spider-Man: Nope!

Vulture: AUGH!

Spider-Man: Sorry, sir, but we’re not taking new beat-ups!

But hey, you get a complimentary fist to the face as a consolation prize!

Everybody wins!

[Panel 7: Vulture is tied to a light pole, the wings webbed together as Lady Octopus crashes past him, the forward two arms reaching forward to grab.]

Vulture: Trainer…

Lady Ock: Forget it, Toomes.

Survival of the fittest.

The Spider is mine, dammit!

[Page 8]

[Panel 1: The fight comes back into the tunnels, with none of the Spot’s portals open (The Sinister Six are a supposedly thorough organization, mind.) and all four Spider-heroes outpacing Lady Octopus.]

Spider-Man: We lost Vulture. Left him in Jersey where he belongs.

Silk: We’ve got one too many following us.

Scarlet Spider: Working on it.

Pete, this suit come with web pits?

Spider-Man: Every suit has them. Just flick your arms up and--

[Panel 2: Kaine’s web-pits leap out of the suit, airbraking him as he shoots back. The rest of the Spider-family keeps moving through the tunnel.]

Scarlet Spider: Found it.

Give ‘em hell.

Spider-Man: You got it.

Scarlet Spider: Oi, Lady Ock!

[Panel 3: Small panel. Lady Octopus looks at Scarlet Spider, the lenses in her helmet at just the right angle to look like she’s surprised.]

Lady Ock: Holy!--

[Panel 4: Kaine tackles Lady Ock, the other Spider-family members swinging (And floating) back towards the rest of the Sinister Six as Scarlet Spider and Lady plunge into the traffic below.]

Scarlet Spider: Fun fact; I killed Doc Ock the first time.

Lady Ock: Aiiiiieeee!

[Panel 5: As Spider-Man and Silk breach the tunnel, Hummingbird close behind them, they start talking again.]

Silk: Will Scarlet?--

Spider-Man: He’s survived tougher. If slowly being turned into Bisquick couldn’t kill him, nothing will.

[Panel 6: Spider-Man, Silk and Hummingbird grind to a halt just outside the tunnel, moving to assume a more defensive position at their newest threat.]

Hobgoblin [OP]: Aw. A shame.

I was hoping to hang the bag of flour that his corpse turns into on my wall.

Hummingbird: Then I guess we’ll have to do.

[Panel 7: Hobgoblin, Scorpion and Spot have struck a pose, (Hobgoblin noticeably tossing a Pumpkin Bomb dangerously in his hand) while a giant Sandman (He probably found a construction pit somewhere, it’s New York) dwarfs all of the combatants.]

Hobgoblin: Guess so, girly.

Batter up.

[Page 9]

[Panel 1: Cold scene cut to the Parker residence. Mary Jane, Annie and Felicia race into the apartment, the lock snapped clean off and the door forced open.]

MJ: Mayday? Are you here?

Annie: Big-sis?

Where are you?

[Panel 2: Silent panel again, where Felicia searched the kitchen, also finding nothing.]

[Panel 3: Silent panel. MJ and Annie search Mayday’s (in-progress) room, finding nothing that could explain where she is.]

[Panel 4: Annie points towards the slightly-opened box on the couch in the livingroom, as MJ’s attention is piqued by her daughter.]

Annie: Mommy! On the couch!

The box!

MJ: You’re right. Thanks, sweetie.

[Panel 5: MJ picks up the note, reading it intently, while also examining the box in a mild state of panic.]

[Panel 6: MJ’s hands cup her mouth in terror, as she begins crying. Annie and Felicia are next to her, holding her as the note falls into the box.]

Annie: Mommy, are you okay?

[Panel 7: A shot of the note in the box, clearly showing what’s written on it.]

Annie [OP]: Mommy, what’s wrong?

[Panel 7: Silent Panel. MJ handing the note to Felicia]

Note: Have to borrow ’s costume. Save the day. Don’t be mad. -Mayday

[Page 10]

[Panel 1: Massive panel. All hell has broken loose. Though Spider-Man and the others have managed to move away from the Holland Tunnel entrance and into a tighter street, Sandman has boxed them in. Silk is leaping on top of Spot’s head, while Hummingbird’s eyes glow as she floats midair. Spider-Man, meanwhile, is busy holding off both Hobgoblin and Scorpion, desperate to hold his ground.]

Silk: Boss, we may have a problem here!

Hummingbird: I think he’s figuring that out first-hand!

I need somebody hitting Sandman’s weak points!

Silk: Sandman has weak spots?! Where are they?!

Hummingbird: If you punched him, maybe I could figure out if he actually has any!

Spider-Man: Oi, ladies!

I know you guys are a bit more talkative in the Young , but could you maybe?--

[Panel 2: Silk jumps over Spot, who promptly shouts in her trajectory.]

Silk: On my way, boss!

Spot: Mac, you’ve got incoming!

[Panel 3: As Silk tries to jump Scorpion, his tail (Almost acting out of Gargan’s control) smashes into her, Spider-Man’s lenses widening in shock as she screams in surprise in pain.]

Scorpion: Don’t worry. Got ‘er.

Silk: What are you?!-- AAAUUUGH!

Spider-Man: Cindy!

[Panel 4: Silk gets slammed into a nearby station wagon. If Gargan is powerful, it definitely translates into his tail. The car’s frame is basically gone as Cindy’s body cleaves through it. Glass, plastic and metal go flying in all directions, and a couple of pieces of shrapnel dig into her while she’s making the distance.]

Peter [capt]: Oh, God. She had to survive that.

She had to.

[Panel 5: Spider-Man manages to disengage from his grapple with Scorpion and Hobgoblin, making a beeline for Silk (Who is still lodged within the car) as Hummingbird floats above them.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: She deserves to live a full life and not die because of Scorpion’s tail. She’s earned better than that.

I promised I wouldn’t get her killed by dragging her into my life.

And I’ve come too far to give up on that promise.

Spider-Man: Aracely, keep them busy! I’m going to--

Hummingbird: --Check on Silk! I know!

I have your six!

[Panel 6: In the wreckage of the car, Spider-Man leaps in to check on Silk, who looks in no condition to fight. Several pieces of shrapnel have lodged themselves in her body, and the white of the costume doesn’t do any favors at hiding the fact that she’s bleeding heavily in a couple places.]

Spider-Man: Cin!

Cin! Are you okay?!

Silk: Been better. It hurts. A lot.

[Panel 7: Smaller panel, as Spider-Man grips the biggest (And only really dangerous) piece of the car, dug deep into Cindy’s ribcage.]

Spider-Man: Deep breath, kid. Grab something.

This is gonna hurt a little.

[Page 11]

[Panel 1: Smaller panel, but still takes up a fair amount of space. Spider-Man rips the piece of car out of Cindy. As one would usually react to getting something ripped out of their body, Cindy’s grip on the car seat (Or what’s left of it) intensifies, as she screams in pain.]

Silk: AAAAAAAAAGGGGH!

Spider-Man: I’m guessing it hurt.

I also may have just gone deaf in my left ear.

Spider-Man: Here. This might sting.

[Panel 2: Spider-Man sprays webbing on the wound, as Cindy hisses. (At least it’s a downgrade from the .)]

Silk: Hhhng!

Might?!

Spider-Man: Sorry. It might not feel nice, but it’ll ease the pain long-term and stop the bleeding until we can get you to a hospital.

Sit tight. I need to help Hummingbird wrap this up.

Silk: Do I have a choice?

Spider-Man: No.

Silk: Figures.

[Panel 3: Aracely is still holding her own against the Sinister Six. Dodging Scorpion’s tail, her eyes are glowing as she assumes a defensive position.]

Spider-Man: Hummingbird! You good?

Hummingbird: Think so!

I just need to-- got ‘em.

[Panel 4: Hummingbird’s glowing eyes intensify as she points her hand out towards Scorpion, intending to take control of his emotions. As of this panel, she succeeds, with him hitching his back in lack of control of his body.]

Hummingbird: You’re scared. The spider scares you. The girl scares you too.

You want to escape.

[Panel 5: Scorpion keels over, writhing standing up as Hummingbird continues her mental assault in the background.]

Scorpion: No, no no no no no….

Ja…. kill…. Killkillkill… Jameson. Focus on killing Jameson.

Kill Jameson.

Kill Jameson.

Kill Jameson.

[Panel 6: Hummingbird’s face has moved from confidence to sheer panic after seeing Scorpion overcome her through sheer willpower.]

Scorpion [OP]: Squash the Spider. Clip the Hummingbird’s wings.

Aracely: Dios ayúdame.

(Note: Translated to “ Oh my God” from Spanish. -Neil)

[Panel 7: Scorpion’s tail lashes out and strikes Aracely. Unlike the Spider-Family, Aracely isn’t exactly built like a mobile tank (In previous runs, her powers are mostly long-range and support-based) and the impact clearly injures her far more than it would have Peter or Cindy. (Her injuries were more from cleaving a car in half.)]

Scorpion: Die!

Hummingbird: AAAUGH!

[Page 12]

[Panel 1: Spider-Man watches Aracely land on a different car, lenses wide with panic.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: That’s everybody down.

Cindy and Aracely are in pieces, and for all I know Kaine is roadkill on I-78.

It’s up to me to stop them here.

[Panel 2: Spider-Man sprints towards Scorpion, who fires an acid stream at him.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Time to get to work.

[Panel 3: Sideways shot. Spider-Man does a flip into the air, the acid stream from Scorpion’s tail spraying harmlessly onto the ground.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Gotta gain some altitude.

[Panel 4: Spider-Man lands on Scorpion’s face, crushing it underneath his weight as he uses Scorpion as a springboard.]

Spider-Man: Here’s to gravity not screwing me over.

[Panel 5: Scorpion recoils from the impact, as Spider-Man launches himself into the air.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: If I time it just right, I can--

[Panel 6: Spider-Man moves himself towards Hobgoblin, knocking him back, though his feet remain attached to the Goblin Glider.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Bingo.

[Page 13]

[Panel 1: Spider-Man swings around on Hobgoblin, gripping his arms with one of his own as he tears the bag o’ tricks off Hobgoblin’s shoulder. (Though not before discreetly grabbing a pumpkin bomb.)]

Hobgoblin: What are you doing?!

Get OFF!!

Spider-Man: Sure.

[Panel 2: Spider-Man flips onto the bottom of the glider, tossing Hobgoblin off as he does so.]

Spider-Man: You first.

Hobgoblin: GAH!

[Panel 3: Spider-Man jams the pumpkin bomb to the bottom of the glider, webbing it in place. Hobgoblin, meanwhile, has recovered from getting tossed off the glider, activating the Urich-Goblin wing pack.]

Spider-Man: Oh, don’t be so melodramatic.

I’m just taking it out for a quick drive.

Promise it’ll be back in the garage in, I dunno…

[Panel 4: Sandman moves up in giant form to intercept, as Spider-Man directs the Goblin Glider towards him.]

Spider-Man: ...how about never?

Sandman: I got him. Kingsley!

[Panel 5: Hobgoblin yells in panic. The panel is small, just big enough to show his face.]

Hobgoblin: Marko, no! It’s what he wants you to--

[Panel 6: Spider-Man has descended on a web-a-chute, and the makeshift bomb of a Goblin Glider smashes into Sandman, a huge burst of sand exploding out of him.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: One down.

Not good enough.

[Panel 14]

[Panel 1: Spider-Man has let go of the web-chute, as it blows away into the breeze while its owner charges Spot.]

Spider-Man [capt]: They’ve lost their groove. The moment they lost even one member, their whole plan falls apart.

Gotta take the momentum and run with it.

Time to pick apart the stragglers.

Spot: Oi, you want a piece of this, webs?

[Panel 2: Spider-Man’s Spider-sense tingles as Scorpion sprints into place behind him.]

Spider-Man: Yeah, Spot. I do.

Specifically--

[Panel 3: Spider-Man’s fist heads into the center spot of Spot’s body. You’ve all seen this trick before in Amazing Spider-Man #589, only this time we’re gonna mix it up a little. You’ll see.]

Spider-Man: --This one.

Spot: Sorry, sport. Ain’t happening.

[Panel 4: Spider-Man’s body is lined up with his arm; instead of hitting himself in the face, his fist is moving through the portal to smash into Scorpion’s mouth. A loud crack is heard as Peter’s fist makes contact.]

Spider-Man: RRAAAGH!

Spot: Holy sh-- Gargan!

[Panel 5: Smaller panel, focused on Scorpion’s face. Spider-Man’s fist has expanded, and has turned into an open grab, finding a secure grip on Scorpion’s face.]

Scorpion: Son of a--- He broke my AUGH!

[Panel 6: Spider-Man’s hand comes back through, his fingers still intensely gripping Scorpion’s face. Another loud crack rings through the air as Scorpion and Spot’s faces smash into each other.]

[Page 15]

[Panel 1: Immediately afterwards. Spider-Man has rolled over to the side, while the other two villains are in the background. Spot is completely out, falling over, while Scorpion is temporarily stunned by the sheer force of the impact, recollecting himself.]

Spider-Man [capt]: Fight faster.

[Panel 2: Spider-Man has yanked on Scorpion’s tail, just as Scorpion has finished recollecting himself.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Fight smarter.

[Panel 3: Spider-Man steps on Scorpion’s tail, pulling on the end with every ounce of strength he has. We’ve used that before, but we mean it this time; it takes everything he has to tear Scorpion’s tail off as Mac screams in pain.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Fight Harder.

Rinse and repeat.

[Panel 4: Spider-Man has begun thrashing Scorpion with his own tail. The blunt end, of course, but the impact is still noticeable.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Faster.

Smarter.

Harder.

More.

[Panel 5: Spider-Man swings the dismembered tail in the other direction, knocking a lot of spit and what looks like a tooth out of Scorpion’s mouth.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Faster.

Smarter.

Harder.

More.

[Panel 6: Spider-Man has leaped on top of Scorpion, tackling him into the ground.]

Spider-Man [Capt]: Think about MJ.

Think about Annie.

Thank about Mayday.

[Panel 7: Spider-Man is on top of the collapsed Scorpion, ripping his tail’s link to his back.]

Spider-Man: Think about Flash.

Think about Harry.

Think about Cindy.

Think about Felicia, and all the people I care about. And don’t give---

[Page 16]

[Panel 1: Large panel. Spider-Man screams in pain, a flaming coming out of the right side of his chest. Hobgoblin stands behind him, holding the blade and smirking in victory.]

Spider-Man: AAAAAAAAAGH!

Hobgoblin: Oops. I think I broke him.

[Panel 2: The blade pulled out of his body, Spider-Man collapses on the pavement, with Hobgoblin standing over him, the Urich sword covered in Peter’s blood]

Spider-Man: I--- Hckkk!

Ohmigod ohmigod ohmigod.

Hobgoblin: Let me tell you, Webs.

You’ve really been pissing me off recently.

So I decided to pull strings behind the scenes.

[Panel 3: Spider-Man’s face, the eyes behind the lenses groggy and delirious from going into shock.]

Hobgoblin: Who do you think trickled down clues to find your daughter?

Who do you think found Osborn’s lab and her along with it?

[Panel 4: Hobgoblin lights the sword again, grinning maniacally.]

Hobgoblin: I figured, “hey, maybe if I set up Parker’s house of cards?

It’ll all come tumbling down.”

And with the FF off-planet and everybody else too far away to mobilize in time…

I thought, “Wow, today seems like a really convenient day to take him out!”

[Panel 5: The sword’s fire presses itself against Peter’s skin, cauterizing the wound the sword made.]

Hobgoblin: Here, let me get that for you.

Peter: AAAAAAAAAAUGGH!

[Panel 6: Close-up of Peter’s eyes, the same feeling of shock going through him.]

Peter: I won’t stop.

I won’t stop fighting.

[Panel 7: Another panel of Hobgoblin’s maniacal face.]

Hobgoblin: I’m counting on it.

[Page 17 and 18]

[Double page spread. Panel 1 is Hobgoblin jamming the sword into Spider-Man’s side again, with another howl in pain.]

Spider-Man: AAAAAAAGH!

[Panel 2: The perspective has switched, to show the civilians on the streets. They’re all entranced by the car wreck of a fight going on, and can only stand by and watch as Hobgoblin continues his torture. Some people are livestreaming the whole thing.]

Spider-Man: No…no, don--AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!

[Panel 3: Kaine has webbed up Lady Octopus and Vulture onto a lamppost, with civilians piping up in the background watching the livestream.]

Kaine: Alright, neither of you are going anywhere.

And then you’re going to get the &!#@ out of New York.

...How would that work?

Civilian: Yo, check it out! Spider-Man’s getting the crap beaten out of him!

Civilian 2: Is that ?!

Civilian: Nah, it’s Jack-O’-Lantern. Has to be.

The sword has a pumpkin face on it.

Civilian 3: This is live, right?

Civilian 1: Yeah, streaming downtown.

[Panel 4: Kaine grabs the phone, shoving the civilian aside and taking his phone.]

Kaine: Gimme that!

Civilian: Whoa! Hey, man, watch it!

Kaine: I don’t care!

[Panel 5: Kaine’s lenses have drooped at the footage, though his brows (through the mask) show a studious attitude.]

Kaine: Pete…

C’mon, you idiot, gimme an address.

[Panel 6: Hard cut to Avengers Airfield, where the Mighty Avengers are piling into their Quinjet. Warhammer is already prepping the Quinjet for launch, while Captain Marvel is sliding into the pilot’s chair.]

Captain Marvel: Alright, Avengers, we’re going to hard-drop in Manhattan to help Spider-Man!

With the slipspace gate down for repair, we have to do this the old fashioned way.

HALO jump, as soon as we break New York airspace!

Warhammer: Carol, we’re ready for launch!

Captain Marvel: Gun it. I want to be there as soon as possible.

[Panel 7: Ant-Man, in miniature form, talks to Carol from the top of the Quinjet’s dashboard.]

Captain Marvel: Scott, where are we on increasing top speed?

Ant-Man: Good news and bad news, Cap.

Good news is we’ve done it. We can hit mach two. We’ll be able to catch the Six long before they’re up and even thinking about running.

Carol: So, what’s the bad news?

Ant-Man: We just got word from Captain Cooper of the SRD.

Hobgoblin has Peter on the ropes.

[Panel 8: Close-up on the rest of the Mighty Avengers, who are all shocked by what they hear.]

Ant-Man: By the time we get there…

Spider-Man will be dead.

[Page 19]

[Panel 1: Hobgoblin has stopped torturing Spider-Man, a layer of smoke and debris floating around them as he raises his sword for one final blow.]

Spider-Man: Roderick… you really don’t want to do this.

Hobgoblin: Why not?

Spider-Man: If you kill me, everybody will be on your tail.

Scarlet Spider, Silk, the FF, the Avengers…

They’ll be calling for blood. Ever thought of donating?

[Panel 2: Hobgoblin stands still, hand on his chin in contemplation.]

[Panel 3: Hobgoblin raises his sword again, grinning insanely. (Was there any other face I should use? Thought not.)]

Hobgoblin: Eh, %$#@ it.

You’ll be dead.

And that makes it all worth it.

[Panel 4: A shadowed hand grips Hobgoblin’s head, as he grimaces in pain.]

Hobgoblin: Hcckkk!

[Page 20]

[Panel 1: ’s owner (Still obscured in shadows) kicks Hobgoblin, who goes flying into a nearby shop window. The dust still obscures her from the reader’s full body.]

???: RAGH!

Hobgoblin: What-- Oof!

[Panel 2: Peter, given a quick respite, takes the time to patch up his wounds with his webbing, a good deal of red already leaking through.]

Peter: C’mon, Parker.

Get up.

Get up, dammit!

[Panel 3: Peter looks up, groggily, to observe the person in front of him.]

Peter: Holy---

Cindy?

Felicia?

[Panel 4: A hand with a familiar web pattern has reached out, to give a badly-injured Spider-Man her hand.]

???: Hey, Dad….

[Page 21]

[Panel 1: We get our first view of Mayday in the Spider-Girl costume. It’s a little loose on some parts, but it fits her. (Relatively, at least.) For once, her eyebrows (shown underneath the mask) are ones not of furrowed anger, but of genuine compassion.]

Mayday: ...I’m here to help.

[Panel 2: Peter stares up at Mayday, dumbfounded about what is happening. He probably thinks he’s dead and/or hallucinating.]

Peter: Holy…

Mayday.

[Panel 3: Hobgoblin crashes back through the shop window, roaring in anger and unsheathing the Urich fire sword.]

Hobgoblin: DIE!

You and your freak of a daughter!

Just DIE ALREADY!

[Panel 4: Mayday continues holding out her hand, the POV being from Peter’s perspective.]

Mayday: Together?

[Panel 5: A close shot of Peter’s mask. Silent panel.]

[Panel 6: Peter’s hand clasps Mayday’s, securely locking them together.]

[Panel 7: Silhouette panel. Mayday pulls Peter out of the rubble, dust and debris spilling off his body as he helps lift himself up.]

[Page 22]

[Splash page. Peter and Mayday stand symmetrically together, pointed towards the reader as they prepare to take down Hobgoblin.]

Spider-Man: Together.

[To be Concluded]
