The licenses have been considered and issued by the Board to these applicants for last many years continuously for both the parties for the year 2018-19 subject to deposit of 10% enhanced as license on the previous year amount. In both the cases licenses have been renewed by the Excise Department, J&K at Sri nagar for the period of 05 years i.e. from 2018- 19 to 2022-23. A self attested photocopy of each renewed license provided with the applications. The Board may consider and approve the issuance of said licenses for tb financial year 2019-20 in favour of applicants subject to deposit of 10% enhanced amount previous year amount. RESOLUTION No.7 The Board after long deliberation on the agenda uQa AGENDA No. 8 of proposed construction falls in GLR Survey No. 40-63 and it is recorded as private land. (page no. 18) The case was referred to building committee vide this office letter dated 31.01.2019 for its recommendation (page no.19). The building committee BC 1 has submitted its recommendation that measurements on ground are found similar to the drawings submitted by the applicant, therefore sanction may be granted to the said case.     District Budgam - a Profile

    DISTRICT BUDGAM - A PROFILE Budgam is one of the youngest districts of J&K, carved out as it was from the erstwhile District Srinagar in 1979. Situated at an average height of 5,281 feet above sea-level and at the 34°00´.54´´ N. Latitude and 74°.43´11´´ E. Longitude., the district was known as Deedmarbag in ancient times. The topography of the district is mixed with both mountainous and plain areas. The climate is of the temperate type with the upper-reaches receiving heavy snowfall in winter. The average annual rainfall of the district is 585 mm. While the southern and south-western parts are mostly hilly, the eastern and northern parts of the district are plain. The average height of the mountains is 1,610 m and the total area under forest cover is 477 sq. km. The soil is loose and mostly denuded karewas dot the landscape. Comprising Three Sub-Divisions - Beerwah, Chadoora and Khansahib; Nine Tehsils - Budgam, Beerwah, B.K.Pora, Chadoora, Charisharief, Khag, Khansahib, Magam and Narbal; the district has been divided into seventeen blocks namely Beerwah, Budgam, B.K.Pora, Chadoora, ChrariSharief, Khag, Khansahib, Nagam, Narbal, Pakherpoa, Parnewa, Rathsun, Soibugh, Sukhnag, Surasyar, S.K.Pora and Waterhail which serve as prime units of economic development. The many disparate groups of people spread far and wide across unhindered disposal of waste into these lakes and water the globe as seen now and bent upon wreaking vengeance bodies is proving harmful to the overall growth and increase upon hapless fellow beings ,animals and environment trying in nutrient value whereas giving a fillip to the formation of to seek retribution for actions not committed by them.

    District Budgam - a Profile

    DISTRICT BUDGAM - A PROFILE Budgam is one of the youngest districts of the State, carved out as it was from the erstwhile District Srinagar in 1979. Situated at an average height of 5,281 ft above sea-level and at 75 degree E longitude and 34 degree N latitude, the district was known as Deedmarbag in ancient times. The topography of the district is mixed with both mountainous and plain areas. The climate is of the temperate type with the upper-reaches receiving heavy snowfall in winter. The average annual rainfall of the district is 585 mm. While the southern and south-western parts are mostly hilly, the eastern and northern parts of the district are plain. The average height of the mountains is 1,610 m and the total area under forest cover is 477 sq. km. The soil is loose and mostly denuded karewas dot the landscape. Comprising Three Sub-Divisions - Beerwah, Chadoora and Khansahib; Nine Tehsils - Budgam, Beerwah, B.K.Pora, Chadoora, Charisharief, Khag, Khansahib, Magam and Narbal; the district has been divided into seventeen blocks namely Beerwah, Budgam, B.K.Pora, Chadoora, ChrariSharief, Khag, Khansahib, Nagam, Narbal, Pakherpoa, Parnewa, Rathsun, Soibugh, Sukhnag, Surasyar, S.K.Pora and Waterhail which serve as prime units of economic development. Nengroo*, Nisar A Kuchay*, M Sultan Bhat** Email: [email protected] Abstract - Land has often been said to be the basic natural resource, since it is the main source of our food, shelter and clothing. An assessment of the land resources, their extent, distribution and utilization are of prime importance for rational exploitation and sustainable development. The present study is based on land-use and cropping pattern dynamics being experienced in District Budgam, which is located in the central part of Kashmir valley and is mostly dominated by agricultural occupation. The study is based mainly of secondary sources. A multi-temporal analysis was carried out in order to analyze the extent as well as direction of change. The study revealed that in district Budgam, there was a major change shown by Chadoora tehsil from rest of tehsils. The change was mainly because of shifting to horticultural activity which is economically beneficial and also due to increasing pressure of population resulting into a lot of residential and commercial developments. Therefore, it becomes imperative to develop a sustainable land management strategy that does not cause the degradation of such valuable resources.
