Spend a fabulous day wandering from one to the next, exploring the designer boutiques, art galleries, jewellers, fashion shops and gift stores.

From De Negen Straatjes, it is only a short walk across the Prinsengracht, to the Anne Frank House. The house occupies an important place in the history of both Amsterdam and The Netherlands. Anne’s diaries became world-famous after they were retrieved and published by Anne’s father, Otto Frank, allowing a glimpse into the life of a 14-year-old Jewish girl during World War II. Usually the traditional types of performances offered are: cabaret, music, dance and drama. Magnificent art exhibitions are being held at an ever-growing number of venues. Highly recommended, and pride of the city, is the old Theater Tuschinski.

Amsterdam is packed with hidden courtyards and beautiful city parks, of which the Vondel-park is the most famous. It is Amsterdam’s most popular park, located in the centre of Amsterdam, only a five-minute walk from the Leidseplein and within walking distance of the Fashion & Museum District. The Vondelpark was designed by landscape architect L.D. Zocher (1865) and is a national heritage monument, with more than 10 million visitors a year.

De Keukenhof is the world’s largest flower garden, located near the town of Lisse. Various gardens and garden styles can be admired here. However, Keukenhof is best known for its breathtakingly beautiful tulip fields in Spring. Seeing the wide variety of tulips blooming is a unique experience not to be missed.
