Take 13-year-old Sangamesh Prabhu Burli from Bagalkot town. He has a hearing impairment, but is a confident young boy who aspires to become a drama actor. He says that the confidence and the knowledge he has about the world was possible only after coming to the AIM for Seva hostel. If his father, a daily-wage earner, had not enrolled him in the hostel, he would have gone to work. A winner of the cultural activities conducted at his school, Sangamesh enjoys singing and is ready to face challenges in life head-on.
