Two luge tracks with views of Mont-Blanc are available for those with a white-knuckle disposition and you can ice skate and play curling at the nearby Sports and Convention centre in Megève.

Alternatively, just soar across the Alps with your own paragliding session or take sledge dog ride through the snowy terrain. Horse drawn carriage rides let you explore the area at a much slower pace, only stopping perhaps to taste of some local produce at one of the 100 year old farms. In winter Combloux caters for both the old and newer generations of snow lovers. It lies at the foot of two separate ski areas, the expansive “Evasion Mont-Blanc” domain and also the smaller but equally challenging “Portes du Mont-Blanc” domain. These two areas bring together some of the finest skiing available in the Alps.

Most of those who reside in Combloux spend their days sampling the endless skiing in the Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area. Mile upon mile of exquisitely manicured pistes (and some challenging off-piste) stretch from 580m to 4808m altitude, with authentic alpine chalets and beautiful pine forests nestled along the way.

Covering 6 resorts, 125 ski lifts and 445km of slopes, the vast Evasion Mont-Blanc is covered on just one lift pass giving skiers and boarders access to a huge variety of skiable terrain. Boarders can enjoy the Mont Joux snow park at the heart of the Evasion Mont-Blanc ski area and this area also offers the steepest slopes and off-piste. The new generation of winter sports enthusiasts there is a Boarder Cross which is open to all. There is also a snow park in Giettaz (to the left of the Tetra ski lift) which has recently undergone significant improvements.

For cross-country skiing, the resort of Combloux has 2 loops (green and blue) 5.5km long, overlooking Mont-Blanc. The Nordic area is also popular with those who like to stroll and relax for an hour or two. Snow is guaranteed until around 20th March.
