This report outlines how the Council can further improve our public realm and further develop our commitment to environmental sustainability as our ‘Streetspace’ is enhanced following the impact of COVID-19.

Sutton Local 18, 19, 20, 21 (£ 391,000.00) (£ - ) SHTWWV Bid includes 3 schemes at Butter Hill, North Cheam and and the last two locations B&W Low traffic neighbourhoods are sites within the East-West cycle route from Worcester Park to Sutton Town Centre. CNWP 5,6,7 (£ 224,000.00) (£ 175,000.00) (£ 49,000.00) Bid includes locations in the vicinity of shops, pharmacies, a cafe and a school and where there are 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, Space at centres narrow footways Borough-wide 16, 17 (£ 203,000.00) (£ 29,000.00) 3 locations that are considered to meet the LSP funding criteria and were already under development as part of the 2019-20 LIP programme and officers consider can be delivered by the CNWP end of September. The 3 locations are Sparrow Farm Road / Kingsmead Avenue area, Cheam SSCB LIP related proposals station area and Foresters Drive. B&W 8, 9, 10 (£ 243,000.00) (£ 30,000.00) (£ 71,000.00) 4 sets of measures that help deliver the Colliers Wood to Sutton Cycleway, including completion of the Bishopsford Road toucan crossing, a segregated footway connection to St Helier hospital, Rosehill Park path and a package of 4 road closures and 20 mph speed limits on roads in the local area. LB Sutton and LB revisited the Cycleways scheme, to ensure the proposals remained Sutton Local Cycleways elements in line with the original objectives SHTWWV 1, 2, 3, 4 (£ 676,000.00) (£ 313,950.00) Includes 16 schemes (outside 18 schools), with 5 of those schemes introduced using emergency powers to support return to schools from 4th June in Sutton Town Centre and Cheam. Includes a Page 1 further programme to introduce ANPR enforced school streets at these 5 locations (Robin Hood Juniors, Cheam Park Farm, Cheam Common, Cheam Fields and Manor Park) plus the remaining 11 locations (Overton Grange, St Mary's/St Philomena's, Muschamp Primary, Rushy Meadow, Harris Academy , All Saints Carshalton, Carshalton Sports College, Green Lane Primary, Westbourne Primary, Bandon Hill Primary/Sherwood Hill and St Elphege's Catholic Infants and School Streets Juniors) from September 2020. Borough-wide seperate plan (£ 1,128,000.00) (£ 96,000.00) (£ 64,000.00) Bid for £40,000 for 4 town centre locations, 3 in Sutton town centre (2 in Throwley Way and a stretch of St Nicholas Way) and 1 in Worcester Park (beneath the railway bridge). The schemes involve reallocation of road space to widen footways to improve pedestrian space and create more space for Town centre space cycling Sutton Local 32, 33 (£ 40,000.00) (£ 57,241.00) Follow up Town Centre and This covered a number of additional sites around Sutton Town Centre that provide access into the Road Space town, as well as 5 additonal locations where additonal road space had been identified. Sutton Local 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27,( 28,£ 295,000.0029 ) This covered cycle parking facilities in urban centres, parks, sheffield stands and cycle hangers at Cycle Parking various locations and parking at schools. Borough-wide borough-wide (£ 97,000.00) This covers funding for works that were either underway prior to TfL pausing LIP work, or to cover Submission for Sunk Costs invoices that were being processed.
