Fox International Channels Big Winner at PromaxBDA Latin America Awards

Fox International Channels won big at the 2014 PromaxBDA Latin America Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards, taking home 17 statues, seven of which were gold.

The Walt Disney Company Latin America was the next biggest winner with 11 trophies altogether, while MTV World Design Studio Buenos Aires had the second highest number of gold awards with three.

Winners were announced last week on a new interactive awards hub that features a series of videos highlighting the finalists in select categories, before revealing the winning work.

The annual awards are the premier celebration of entertainment marketing and design work created for Latin America, with categories honoring a wide spectrum of work, from key art to holiday promo campaigns to telenovela promotion.

There are three prize levels in each category: gold, silver, and bronze. This year, for the first time, new categories were introduced to highlight the best work created in Latin America to promote local programming, reflecting the growing importance of such offerings for the regional television industry.

The awards used a two-step process to determine the winners. In the first round, online peer judging narrowed the submissions down to a list of the top finalists in each category. Those finalists, announced on Thursday, then advanced for final consideration by this year's jury.

The jury met over the course of the month of September in three separate cities-Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and Miami-to determine the final winners.

PromaxBDA tallies the number of awards won using the credits submitted by each company or network.
