ABOUT US ALICIA BIRDER, Executive/Artistic Director Alicia is Executive & Artistic Director of Birder Studio of Performing Arts, a 501©3 non-profit studio of performing arts. Alicia launched Birder Studio in 2010 to continue to develop arts education and entertainment for our community in hopes of nurturing creative, collaborative and well-rounded performers. Birder Studio programming is based on Alicia’s belief that all children should have the opportunity to experience the joy and thrill of the theatre and live performing. From this experience, they will gain artistic and social maturity.

OUR MISSION: TO EDUCATE, INSPIRE, CREATE, ACHIEVE! Our artistic educational program is for students of all ages and levels in the performing arts. It instills confidence, creativity and discipline. The training program includes , acting, voice, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, , ballroom dance, piano, stage management, yoga and Zumba. Our professional staff welcomes you to visit!

OUR CAUSE: ARTS EDUCATION FOR ALL We are committed to providing a secure foundation in the arts for both children and adults. As a 501©3 non-profit organization, we seek to make arts education accessible and affordable to all youth in the Greater Green Bay Area. Through our scholarships and community outreach efforts, donations help us provide live entertainment and arts education to those who would not otherwise experience it.

Age Minimum: All students must be the class-required age by May 30, 2019 (no exceptions)

Attire Policy: Students are requested to wear comfortable clothing suitable for dancing, and floor sitting. Street shoes are not allowed on our studio’s floors. All students must wear jazz or ballet shoes. Sandals, socks and bare feet are not permitted.

Private Study Summer Session: Our “On Broadway Theatre Workshops” allow all youth who ON choose to participate the experience, joy and thrill of performing BROADWAY on stage. No one is eliminated by audition. We believe it is Voice, Tap, Jazz, Irish Dance, Ballroom, Acting essential that all students have the opportunity to perform with regardless of age or ability. Through the rehearsal process, Age 7-Adult 6 Week Session 30 min $180 backstage management and performance experiences, each 45 min $270 BIRDER child will gain artistic and social maturity. This is our Studio’s goal. Many classes and productions culminate in performances STUDIO! 7 Week Session 30 min $210 for our friends, family and community. Vocal/Acting Scenes & Songs from LION KING Learn Ballroom basics in dances like the Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Cha Cha, Paso, Jive and so much more! Ana has a B.A. in Vocal Performance and Communication Media Studies from St. Norbert College. She is a seasoned Mary Poppins, JR., is great fun for the whole family. Young performers will be excited to portray the performer, having performed in countless musicals. Highlights include Mamma Mia (Sophie), PIPPIN (Showgirl/Catherine), characters from the popular classic in this fantastical musical extravaganza. (Demeter), A Chorus Line (Val) and (Cinderella). Ana has been an instructor at Birder Studio for seven years. She received her 200-hour yoga certification from Core Power Yoga in Minneapolis, MN. Age 10-18 Principal Actor 2 week $400 M-F July 8-12 & July 15-19 10:00-3:00 Chad Lemerande Production Manager, Instructor Age 10-18 Supporting Actor 2 week $200 Chad has been involved musically in the Green Bay/De Pere area for over 30 years as a performer, teacher and director. He directed the SNC TH-F July 18-19 10:00-3:00 Swinging Knights from 1993-1997. Chad also held the position of Music Director at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay from 1995-2015. Kris is the 4-6 grade orchestra director in the De Pere school district. Briefly July 22-26 M-F Mina Witte Instructor We just can’t get enough of this tale as old as time. The story is familiar, but the lessons about the power of love Mina has danced her entire life and brings over 20 years dance experience in Irish, ballroom, ballet and contemporary. and beauty that is more than skin deep never get old. Put your drama skills to work and showcase your talents in Mina holds numerous regional, national and world Irish and Ballroom Dance Titles. As well as top female teaching awards this classic of a tale. and countless shared joys of student titles and awards. Mina’s favorite dancing moments were when she got to perform with musical groups such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Gaelic Storm. Age 8-17 M-F Actors 9:30-12:00 $125

Michael Witte Instructor Performances: Friday July 26, Broadway Theatre 10:30 & 12:00

Michael brings over 11 years of Ballroom Dance experience. Michael specializes in both American and International Style Ballroom Dance. He has won numerous Wisconsin State Amateur Championships, several top male teacher awards, Wee Actors “Songs on Broadway” along with the shared joyed of countless student’s titles and awards. Michael also teaches science at Washington Middle School. This is a camp designed to introduce our young performers to the stage. Each student will prepare and perform vocal selections on our Broadway Stage - The Talent show of all talent shows!

Jenna joined the staff of Birder Studio after being a student for 13 years. She is a student at UWGB and is majoring in K- Performance: Friday, July 26, Broadway Theatre 12:00 12 Choral/General Music Education. Jenna has always had a strong for working with children and she loves teaching children about music and theatre. She also has found passion in the backstage world working as Stage Manager Week of July 29-August 2 for several Birder Players and Birder Studio productions over the last few years. Give My Regards to Broadway July 29-Aug 2 M-F Carrie Bressers ARTreach Director, Box Office Manager Combine the greatest show tunes of George M. Cohan with a sparkling story and you have the most entertaining, Carrie Bressers is a community organizer originally from Kankakee, Illinois. She holds a BS in Business Administration charming musical of the season. Lots of song and dance! from Valparaiso University, and honed her skills in the medical, printing, and, later, the outreach ministry fields in Indianapolis while staying home with her two children, Jackson and Charlotte. She currently leads fitness classes for the Age 10-18 All Actors 1 week $200 City of De Pere and the Greater Green Bay YMCA, serves on the Board of Directors for the De Pere Historical Society, M-F July 29-Aug 2 10:00-3:00 and coaches a state-qualified Destination Imagination team of girls in grades 4&5. Prince/Princess Camp July 29-Aug 2 M-F WHO: This workshop is a MANDATORY workshop for any student currently in our Triple Threat Classes (TTC, TTB, TTA, Senior TT and Troupe 1 & 2), TAC, Advanced Musical Theatre.It is ALSO FOR any current Who doesn’t want to be royalty for a day?
