It is compiled from data collected by a number of state, interstate and federal agencies, including the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection (DEP), West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (DNR), West Virginia Bureau for Public Health (BPH), Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO), United States Geological Survey (U. S. G.S.), United States Forest Service (U. S. F.S.), and United States
