We predominantly work within the outside broadcast, studio and production markets and are dedicated to responding to your needs. 6 7 Outside Broadcast Gearhouse Broadcast is a leading outside broadcast facilities provider in Australia working on major sports events, music concerts, news and current affairs, entertainment shows, studio productions and reality TV shows.
We primarily service the live sports market and provide facilities most notably for the Australian Rules Football (AFL) for the Seven Network, Super 15s Rugby, A-League Football, Australian International Rugby and Football for Fox Sports. Our key clients include most of Australia leading producers and production houses, Pay TV networks and the majority of the free-to-air broadcasters. Our ever-growing fleet of HD and SD trucks were designed by Gearhouse Broadcast’s team of Senior Broadcast Engineers, in collaboration with specialised industry manufacturers including Sony, EVS, Canon, Lawo, Riedel, Snell and Harris. HD1 is a 24-camera super truck: a double-expanding semi-trailer that supports 24 cabled cameras. It regularly facilitates Fox Sports outside broadcasts and is renowned for its luxurious and spacious interior, which can sit 27 staff members. HD2 also a double-expand was designed with the Seven Network’s AFL coverage in mind. It comfortably accommodates 30 staff in climate-controlled conditions. The truck’s 28-camera capacity will be utilised on some of Seven’s biggest events including the Melbourne Cup and the AFL Grand Final. HD3 a single- expand boasts five EVS and three VTR machines, positions for eight production staff in the gallery, a Euphonix audio and the RTS Adam comms system. The truck can hold 17 crew members, including the eight in the two-tiered production area. HD4 a similar design to HD3 is fitted with a single-side expansion compartment. HD4 takes 16 HD cameras, and has four EVS’s and three VTRs. HD4 is a favourite among operators and offers serious value to clients. Gearhouse Broadcast also has a number of SD vehicles and fly-away rigs in operation, to cater for budgets at every level. We offer technology from many of the world’s leading manufacturers.
