University High School Uniform Guidelines 2017-2018 Follow the Creed: Knowledge, Strength, Courage, and Respect

1. A polo or button-down Oxford shirt that is one of the 4 school , with or without a small logo, are permissible any school day. • Colors are Orange, , Charcoal , and . • Students MUST wear lower garments that meet uniform policy requirements*. • Hoodies/Jackets may be worn, but a shirt meeting uniform policy requirements must be worn beneath the hoodie/jacket. • For complete uniform policy relating to clothing, shoes, lower garment wear, and other school miscellaneous items please refer to the VCS policy at: http://myvolusiaschools.org/parents-portal/Pages/School-Uniforms.aspx 2. All official club, sports, program, or academy shirts are permissible any school day as long as they are polo or button-down Oxford. • Official club, sports, program, or academy shirts must be approved by Principal or designee. • Students MUST wear lower garments that meet uniform policy requirements*. 3. Friday is Titan UP! Spirit Day • School Spirit related T-shirts are allowed. • Must be one of the four school colors and have a school spirit-related message/ logo/ design). • If spirit t-shirts are not worn, then normal school uniform policy applies (see below). • Shirts must be Polo or button down Oxford shirt that is one of the four school colors, with or without a small logo. • Students MUST wear lower garments that meet uniform policy requirements*. 4. Sports teams (including cheerleaders) will be permitted to wear team uniform jerseys or tops on game days. • Students MUST wear lower garments that meet uniform policy requirements*. 5. Students participating in Army JROTC will be permitted to wear their Army JROTC uniform on Wednesdays as well on days with special events. 6. STEM Biomedical Academy students are permitted to wear academy scrubs on Thursdays. ∗ Lower Garment Policy - Pants, shorts, capris, skirts, skorts and jumpers must be a solid of navy , black or tan with no stripes, decorations or embroidery. Black and blue denim are acceptable. Lower garments must be worn at the waist and will not have rips or tears. Please be mindful that any shorts, skirts or skorts must be mid-thigh or below in length.
