We have covered about 500ft of trail with rubber mats. These mats make it possible for wheel chair, handicap scooters, baby buggies and walkers to enjoy all weather conditions for their outings. We would like to put more mats down this summer to complete the trail through the trees. We are canvassing companies, businesses and individuals to raise funds to buy more mats. The Parks and Trails Committee has developed a grid for contributions as follows: INDIVIDUAL TILES $165.00 $500 ……….. $999 COPPER LEVEL $10,000 ……. $14,999 SILVER LEVEL $1000 ……… $4999 NICKEL LEVEL $15,000 ……. $19,999 GOLD LEVEL $5000 ………. $9999 BRONZE LEVEL $20,000 ……. PLUS PLATINUM LEVEL There will be a display board acknowledging any and all contributions. The Town of Daysland is willing to give tax credit receipts to you or your business for your contribution. During the summer, fall and winter, we have gotten contributions from individuals, businesses, and the ATB sponsored a run-a-thon in September, this raised approximately $18,000 dollars. The Parks and Trails Committee would like to put out a request to anybody who would like to help cover the trail with rubber mats. Feel free to donate at the Town Office.
