Crawley Down Neighbourhood Plan 2014 - 2031 January 2016 1 Crawley Down Neighbourhood Plan – Made Version January 2016 This document is re-issued in its entirety and may not be reproduced in part or whole without the express written permission of Worth Parish Council. © Worth Parish Council 2014. 2 Crawley Down Neighbourhood Plan – Made Version January 2016 Executive Summary 1 This is the Neighbourhood Plan for Crawley Down Ward which is part of Worth Parish in Mid- Sussex District. A separate plan is being prepared for Copthorne Ward, which makes up the rest of Worth Parish. 2 The Neighbourhood Plan is a new type of planning document. It is the lowest tier of a hierarchy of development plans which include the Local Development Plan prepared by the District Council and the Government’s National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF). When approved, this plan will shape the evolution of Crawley Down village and the surrounding countryside. 3 The Plan has been prepared by a sub-committee of Worth Parish Council and is based on substantial consultation with the local population and local businesses to identify and develop solutions for key local issues. It covers the period 2014 to 2031 and sets out a clear vision for the future of Crawley Down: A thriving and attractive village community set in unspoilt and accessible countryside that provides an excellent quality of life for residents, visitors, and those who work in, or travel through, the area. 4 The Plan sets out 11 policies which together with the NPPF and the Local Plan ensure that new development in the Crawley Down Neighbourhood Plan Area will be sustainable and in accordance with the vision. -

Pevensey Levels Area profile: Supporting documents Introduction National Character Areas map As part of Natural England’s responsibilities as set out in the Natural Environment White Paper,1 Biodiversity 20202 and the European Landscape Convention,3 we are revising profiles for England’s 159 National Character Areas North (NCAs). These are areas that share similar landscape characteristics, and which East follow natural lines in the landscape rather than administrative boundaries, making them a good decision-making framework for the natural environment. Yorkshire & The North Humber NCA profiles are guidance documents which can help communities to inform West their decision-making about the places that they live in and care for. The information they contain will support the planning of conservation initiatives at a East landscape scale, inform the delivery of Nature Improvement Areas and encourage Midlands broader partnership working through Local Nature Partnerships. The profiles will West also help to inform choices about how land is managed and can change. Midlands East of Each profile includes a description of the natural and cultural features England that shape our landscapes, how the landscape has changed over time, the current key drivers for ongoing change, and a broad analysis of each London area’s characteristics and ecosystem services. Community Influencer – Epsom and Ewell Volunteer Role Profile Do you want to make a difference to health and social care services in Epsom and Ewell, and ensure that residents have a say in how the care they receive is delivered? Who are Healthwatch Surrey? • We are statutory organisation that listens to what local people say about the health and social care services they access. • We take their views and concerns to decision makers, to influence and improve how local services are run. • We also offer information and advice through our Helpdesk, and our free, independent NHS complaints and advocacy service. How do we make a difference? • We work closely with the CQC, Surrey County Council, Clinical Commissioners and NHS service providers to provide feedback from patients, escalate concerns and work to improve services based on the patient experiences our staff and volunteers have collected. • We engage with hard-to-reach communities, especially those at risk of health inequalities to ensure everyone has a say in the care they receive. How can I help? An exciting opportunity has arisen to help us develop a volunteer team to support our work in the Mole Valley and Epsom and Ewell areas. You will be instrumental in helping to develop our ‘Surrey Downs’ volunteer group, who will reach out to communities in the area to hear their recent experiences of health and social care and work with local NHS and social care providers to improve services. What will I do as a Community Influencer in the Surrey Downs volunteer group? • Work with our team and the group Chair to agree the priorities and a workplan for the group. -

modality A Commitment to Care Modality Mid Sussex Introductory Patient Newsletter Welcome to our first Modality Mid Sussex patient newsletter. We hope you find this update helpful; we would like to run quarterly update sessions via. Zoom or Live stream to ensure we keep you informed of our progress to date and provide updates on key topics. Please read on to learn more about our progress to date. On behalf of the Mid Sussex Division of Modality Partnership, thank you for your support and feedback to date on the recent consultation relating to changes proposed to bring our four practices together to improve our services. Modality Partnership currently operates four practices in West Sussex: Judges Close Surgery, Ship Street Surgery, Crawley Down Health Centre and Park View Health Partnership. Over the past 12 months, our surgeries have been facing significant challenges and providing continuity of healthcare during the pandemic has made us work in very different ways. Clinical and administrative staff on all four sites have been working very closely together and this has reinforced our view that as a larger practice working within the Modality Partnership, we can deliver better, more flexible and effective care than if we were on our own. Our ambition remains that together we can offer more localised services to our residents, continue to provide safe and effective care and improve the working environment for our staff teams. We will do this through greater cooperation and mutual aid, which will ultimately improve the culture and personalised care we can offer to our patients. Feedback has been provided in several ways: online zoom meetings (with patients and also representatives from the Town Council), electronic and paper- based surveys. -

The resolutions were: RECOMMENDATION 1(a) RESOLVED That Full Council unanimously agreed that the Council’s submission to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England should be for a mixed pattern of Wards (10 Wards served by 3 Councillors and 3 Wards served by 2 Councillors). RECOMMENDATION 1(b) RESOLVED That Full Council approves the mixed pattern of Wards for submission to the Local Government Boundary Commission for England as detailed in the Appendix to the Governance Committee minutes held on 26 March 2018 (i.e. the draft Submission as detailed in Appendix A to report LDS/135, updated to include to the amendments as defined in Appendix C to report LDS/135). The document is quite large due to the number of maps included, so to avoid any problems in sending it by email I have used mailbigfile.
