Cavallo Point was built to the highest standards of historic preservation, sustainability and stewardship. Since the project’s inception, environmental initiatives have been a priority.

Use of green building materials includes products that are regionally sourced, with a high content of recycled materials, or made from rapidly renewable resources. In historic buildings, reclaimed materials retain connections to the past, including crown molding, pressed tin ceilings, original hardwood floors, bedroom fireplaces and inviting porches. To beautify the landscape, the property’s ‘historic core’ features native plants and seeds from the Fort Baker watershed.
