Scope of the Work: Pre Primary students are especially sensitive to their environment to the extent their behavior is often cued by the space and surroundings. Early childhood furniture goes a long way towards creating an environment that is both welcoming and appropriately stimulating for early learners. Furnishing a Pre-Primary classroom with appropriately scaled furniture is a need of an hour. This first step not only removes a barrier to learning and facilitates concentration and interaction, it makes the students feel comfortable in the surroundings and builds their self esteem by making them feel the room is designed for their needs. (Model Bean shaped/ Half Moon Table) (Model Kid’s Chair) Keeping all these factors in mind, it is proposed to set up a Half-Moon shaped activity table along with 5 Nos. of Kid Plastic chairs having seat height of 26 cm, allows the teacher to be physically closer to students while instructing, creating a more intimate and personalized learning experience for the student. Tables that are shaped as a Half Moon / Bean Shaped work well as a conference table for situations in which a teacher may need to help a small group of students or have a conversation with parents. They also work well as a table for children to sit and listen as a teacher reads them a book or shows them how to do an activity. There are 298 Government Schools having Pre Primary Classes in the four regions of UT of Puducherry and 7083 students are studying in these schools. The near utilization of surface water resources has made the public and Government to look towards groundwater resources to supplement the water supply. The ever- increasing demand has resulted in the greater dependence on groundwater and consequently resulting in depletion of groundwater resources in many parts of the country. In the era of climate change, groundwater may act as a buffering resource in the time of drought and it needs to be managed more intensively to enhance its sustainability. The change in groundwater extraction and rainfall pattern necessitate periodic revision of groundwater resources assessment. The report 'National Compilation on Dynamic Groundwater Resources of India, 2017' is a compilation of State-wise assessment carried out jointly by CGWB and State Groundwater Departments at periodical intervals under the supervision of State level Committee of the respective States/UTs and under overall guidance of Central Level Expert Group. The groundwater resources of India are assessed following Groundwater Estimation Methodology, 2015, which takes care of all the relevant parameters contributing to the net annual ground water recharge and extractions for various uses.
