Good Afternoon and welcome to Frimley Green Recreation Ground for today’s match in the Cherry Red Combined Counties Football League Premier Division. Our opponents on this occasion are CB Hounslow United and we extend a warm welcome to their Players, Officials and supporters and trust that they enjoy their visit. This is our first meeting since the 2015/16 season when CB Hounslow United won promotion to the Premier Division. Our last meeting was a 1-0 home win on the 16th Jan 2016 with a goal from Dean Boultwood. We had earlier lost 1-0 away in the November. Last season CB Hounslow United had a difficult season managing to avoid relegation by 2 points, after a3 -point deduction. Last season we finished second in Division One by 1 point and were promoted back to the Premier Division after a four-year period in Division One, following our last promotion in 2012/13. Today should be a good opportunity to see if we can carry on where we left off last season and kick off with 3 points. On Tuesday night we are away to Badshot Lea FC and then next Saturday we visit Bournemouth Poppies in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round.

Good Afternoon and welcome to The Recreation Ground for this afternoon’s CCL Prem Fixture, we extend our welcome to players, supporters and officials of CB Hounslow and hope you all enjoy your visit to us today. It seems like only yesterday, we were lifting up the Division 1 Cup Trophy, Yet still feeling the effects of missing out on top of the table of the division, however we still held belief that we would rightfully take a place into Step 5 and through the efforts of all at the club, especially Steve Lynch, who put our case to the FA Appeal committee and within minutes knew we were going up. It really was deserved after a fantastic season for everyone involved In the club. Unbeaten at home in the league, Division 1 cup winners, falling at the semi final or Q/F stages in other competitions against the eventual winners. The management and players really gave their all last season and it was an amazing season to be part of. Looking into the season ahead, very similar to last summer, we have retained the majority of last seasons squad, and been able to add some additional quality which I have no doubt will enable us to achieve our targets this season. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome all the players back, new players into the club, but also thank those that have left for other opportunities, you were part of an incredible season. I’d now like to take the opportunity to thank those who have spent hours and hours of their time at the club during pre season, Some of the work you can see immediately, whilst others aren’t quite that easy to see but so important to the club going into the season. Ken, Andy, Dupes, Nick, Tanner, Steve, Tim, all have provided their time to help with ongoing renovations of the Recreation Ground. It’s something the managers speak of a lot, the ‘Family’ feel they have within the squad, the same can certainly be said behind the scenes with everyone working together and the club is looking fantastic, a massive thank you to everyone and a big thank you to all the local firms that have kindly donated time, or materials for the cause. Each of these will be seen in different editions of our matchday programme. Finally, onto today, CCL Prem Action!, its fantastic to open the season at home, I hope everyone enjoys the game, make sure you go over and try out our matchday food offering from the kitchen, and our newly installed drink options at the BAR, which have gone down well since the bar refit a few weeks ago. Here’s to hopefully 3 points and a great start to the season and hope everyone enjoys the game. Kind regards Matthew Chairman

CAPTAINS NOTES Jim Ward

So it all begins, a home game against CB Hounslow in the CCL Prem. Welcome to Barry, his staff, players and supporters. For a few people at the club a new chapter and for others a return to where the club should be. Last season was a massive success, getting promoted, unbeaten in league at home and winning the div 1 cup. I’m sure we will cause trouble for a lot of teams this season. Big thanks to our chairman, chair lady, moggy, management, coaches, team mates and more importantly those who support us home and away, Chels, Kirsty, Ken and Alex aswell as some others. Just a quick mention also to all the volunteers who helped give the club a makeover in the break, especially Thummers, Besty, Dupes and Ken. You boys done a cracking job. Pre season has been good, a few new additions to squad and staff and the vibe around the team is positive. It’s a great club to be around at the moment on and off the pitch and one ’I m proud to be captain of. Let’s get our 19/20 campaign off with three points. I would like to welcome anyone in the ground to come and listen to new player initiation songs in the bar after the game. I’m sure they would appreciate the help and support. Hope you all enjoy the footy on show.

Up the Frimmers! C’mooooooooooooooooooon
