Waikīkī Improvement Association Volume X1, No. 16 Waikīkī Wiki Wiki Wire April 22—28, 2010 WIA extends a big mahalo to Waikīkī Beach clean-up volunteers A gathering of over 120 Waikīkī workers and residents turned out on Saturday, April 17, for the pre-Earth Day beach clean-up organized by the Waikīkī Ohana Workforce and Waikīkī Improvement Association. The group met at 7 am at the Duke Kahanamoku Statue and spread throughout Waikīkī Beach for the morning clean-up campaign. “We are grateful to all the people who got up early on Saturday morning to participate in Waikīkī’s efforts to clean- up the beach in support of Earth Day,” said Rick Egged, WIA President. “It’s great to see Waikīkī Beach get a through cleaning.
