Willis Horton=s J “TDN Rising Star” J Take Charge Brandi finished a solid second in the GIII Schuylerville S. at the Spa in July, but failed to make an impact in her subsequent three efforts before blowing up the tote at 61-1 going box to wire in the Juvenile Fillies. She came right back three weeks later to annex the GIII Delta Downs Princess at a much shorter 2-1, and reunites with Victor Espinoza, whose only previous ride on the $435,000 KEESEP yearling came at the Breeders= Cup. Hall of Famer Jerry Hollendorfer, who won this race in 2009 and 2011 when it was contested at Hollywood Park, has two chances for another renewal. Hollendorfer=s second representative Achiever=s Legacy (City Zip) was purchased privately from Alfonso Cammarota and trainer Joseph Catanese III after a successful debut sprinting on the Gulfstream lawn in June. Badly beaten in two subsequent tries on grass, the chestnut was a close third behind Maybellene (Lookin At Lucky) and Don=t Blame Me (Blame) in a main-track Santa Anita optional claimer Oct. 23 before turning the tables on the former in Del Mar=s seven-furlong Desi Arnaz S. TDN P HEADLINE NEWS • 12/13/14 • PAGE 4 of 14 • thoroughbreddailynews.com Though he has but seven victories from his 47 trips to the post, Red Cadeaux has gotten on with it just fine, at least from a financial perspective. Between his success here two years ago, the three runner-up efforts at Flemington and another in the world=s richest race, the G1 Dubai World Cup, he has bankrolled better than $7.1 million. And he shows no signs of slowing down, as he has appeared full of himself and has looked well during morning trackwork since his arrival from Australia a few weeks back. Admittedly, it had been a down season for Red Cadeaux prior to the Melbourne Cup, as he failed to factor in a serious way in any of his first four starts this term. Sixth in the World Cup Trainer Ed Dunlop in March, he was 14th in the Racing Post G1 Tenno Sho May 4 before getting a few months off.
