Maz, You're Up! The History Center recently released "Maz, You’re Up!," a new children’s book commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1960 World History Center Hosts First Annual Bocce Tournament Series. Kelly Mazeroski, Bill’s daughter-in-law, was inspired to write the book after the birth of her first son. She weaves an engaging tale centered on the story of Maz’s Series-winning home run. "Maz You’re Up!" features original watercolor illustrations created by Pittsburgh artist Judith Lauso, as well as photographs and images from the History Center’s and Pittsburgh Pirates’ archives. It is available for $12.95 at the History Center Museum Shop and e-store at www.heinzhistorycenter.org. Maz, You re Up! The History Center's First Annual Bocce Tournament and Festival attracted near- ly 400 people to a fun-filled event that benefitted the Italian American Program. Chaired by Jack Mascaro of Mascaro Construction Co., the tournament raised more than $125,000 for the History Center. Attendees enjoyed great food courtesy of John Barsotti of Common Plea Catering and live entertainment by Pure Gold.
