Details of Virgin Portion : Yes. 1.2 kms from Madiyathara to Nerekadavu Jn. 4. Details of Road Fitness certificate : Not Received. 5. Details of Overlapping : Total overlapping is 900 meter ie, 4.09 % of the total route length [22 km] which is within the permissible limit. 1) Route portion of 900 meter from Vaikom KSRTC to Ring Road objectionably overlaps on Ernakulam – Thekkady notified Scheme 42/2009 Trans dtd 14/07/2009. 6. Details of Vehicle produced : KL 41 J 7175 / another suitable vehicle owned by the applicant. 7. Details of Concurrence :N A. 8. Necessity, recommendation if any : Enquiry officer reported that in the proposed route AMbika Market to Vaikom town is well served sector and Vaikom to Nerekadavu sector is ill served sector. The proposed permit offers 12 trips and it will provide better conveyance to travelling public and students in the above sector to Vaikom Town. The proposed permit offer 8 trips to the ill served sectors and if all trips extended to ill served sector, it will be more beneficial to travelling public. The major portion of the route length is Ambika Market – Vaikom where STU’s are conducting service, hence their objection may be considered. 9. Court Direction, if any : Nil. 10. Other relevant points : There is no direct time clash noticed. However timings may settled after conducting Timing conference. 11. Type of road : Madiyathara Jn to Nerekadavu jn 1.2 kms is virgin. [Municipal Road] Fitness may be obtained from concerned authority. All the route length is single line road and Heavy vehicles are conducting service in the sector. Details of Vehicle produced : KL 24 C 4696 / another suitable vehicle owned by the applicant. 7. Details of Concurrence :N A. 8. Necessity, recommendation if any : Enquiry officer reported that if the permit is granted, it will beneficial to the public and students who live in this area. The said permit is more beneficial to the Sabarimala pilgrims in Sabarimala Season. 9. Court Direction, if any : Nil. 10. Other relevant points : There is no direct time clash noticed. A sum of Rs.40.00 lakhs has been sanctioned as second installment by UGC during 2011-12 but the amount has not yet been released. We have spent more than Rs.80.00 lakhs so far. Thanks to the CPE Programme of UGC, the college had introduced a number of innovative steps with regard to curriculum, teaching, evaluation etc. at undergraduate, post-graduate and research levels. The direct benefits have been obtained to more than 10000 students at UG and PG levels apart from 500 research scholars as well as 200 faculty members. Indirectly it has been beneficial to more than 50000 people in the Meenachil Taluk in Kottayam District which is an agricultural belt in Kerala. The Choice Based Credit and Semester System (CBCSS) has been introduced at UG level in all programmes by 2011 and this has been extended to PG programs by 2012. Continuous assessment as part of internal examinations was introduced with various components such as attendance, assignments, seminars and test papers. Each student has to prepare at least 2 assignments or term papers in each subject of study and present them in seminars.
