Winning and Reporting Delay For and Double Play Draw Results

TRENTON (Aug. 24, 2021) – The unofficial winning numbers for the Powerball® drawing on Monday, Aug. 23, are: 17, 36, 47, 60, and 61. The red Power Ball number was 15. The Power Play was 3x. The unofficial winning numbers for the Double Play® drawing are: 3, 28, 34, 39, and 63. The red Power Ball number for Double Play® was 25.

The official results of the Powerball® and Double Play® drawings on Monday, Aug. 23, are pending final processing across all participating states. The delay in processing is due to issues at two other participating . successfully executed all Powerball security responsibilities. Powerball has strict security requirements that must be met by all 48 lotteries before and after each drawing to produce official draw results. Without the official draw results, the next estimated jackpot cannot be calculated and, in New Jersey, prizes on winning tickets cannot be validated and paid.

The Powerball drawing on Monday night, Aug. 23, was held at 11:56 p.m. ET, and the Double Play drawing was held at 12:21 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 24. Both drawings were live streamed on Powerball.com, and recorded video was posted to the Powerball website and the Powerball YouTube channel. The winning numbers from both drawings are also available on Powerball.com.

We apologize for the delay in finalizing last night’s draw. Players should hold on to their tickets, and we will let you know when retailers are able to validate and pay prizes on winning tickets from the August 23 Powerball® and Double Play® drawings.
