Biographical Data ► Triumph JOE VITALE JR P.O. BOX 36860 CANTON, OHIO 44735 | www.joevitalejr.com BIOGRAPHICAL DATA ► TRIUMPH. OVER. ADVERSITY. This is the driving force behind Ravenwood, fronted by Joe Vitale Jr. For the past decade, Joe has been clawing his way through the jungle-like terrain of the music scene—even if it means he has to crawl. But one thing’s for certain-- with his blend of classic rock and modern rock, and a sweet dash of “signature Joe”, Ravenwood is poised to lead the aural revolution. ARE YOU IN? This isn’t cookie-cutter music from a sound-a-like artist. Ravenwood is unique-- out-of-the-box honesty with no B.S. Joe has taken life’s knocks-- heartache, disappointment, falsehoods, doubt and frustration-- rolled-up his sleeves, and turned it all into a message of rockin’ positivity with his debut album “Dancing with Shadows”. It’s an album nine-years in the making and worth the wait. “Fight It or Self Destruct”, “I Don’t Belong Here”, “Mysterious”, “Never Look Back”, and “Break!” perfectly relay his missive of triumph over adversity. With fist-pumping rejuvenation you can hear yourself sing along: “You can’t stop what you can’t control/You can’t stop me/I never will self-destruct!”... Find yourself identifying with: a relationship gone bad-- the breakup anthem “It’s Not Me It’s You”; the pursuit of the alluring lady of your dreams with “Beautiful Girl”; that special someone who’s become your addiction with “You Make Me Feel Alive”; people that have judgments and preconceived notions, with the title track “Dancing With Shadows”. Joe’s positivity, his Faith and beliefs are woven throughout this critically acclaimed album. Music is in his blood. Maybe literally. This multi-instrumentalist is the son of legendary rock drummer Joe Vitale, and spent his early years cutting his teeth on the road with Joe Walsh, The Stephen Stills Blues Band, and Crosby, Stills and Nash. The revolution is expanding… His award-winning, self-directed video for “Never Look Back” has over 300-thousand YouTube views. He has over 11-thousand Facebook fans and over 10-thousand Twitter followers. And there’s always room for more. “But now I stand in the light / I’ll never stop only fight / When all was lost made a vow/My time has come here and now....” Ravenwood / Joe Vitale Jr. is currently touring and working on a follow-up album. ________________________________________________________________________________ ©COPYRIGHT 2016 | VARI LOUD RECORDS™ | ALL RIGHTS RESERVED DISCOGRAPHY ► 2014 ALBUM “Above the Fathoms - Soundtrack Selections” 2014 SINGLE “The Keeper” 2013 SINGLE “Live It Up” 2013 SINGLE “I Live For the Weekend” 2012 ALBUM “Encryption Soundtrack” 2012 ALBUM “The Virulent Strain” 2011 SINGLE “Talk to Me” 2010 SINGLE “Jingle Jingle” 2008 ALBUM “Dancing With Shadows” ACCOLADES ► 2015 MUSIC Winner/Hot List “Best Local Band” 2014 MUSIC Winner/Ohio Music Awards “Best Modern Rock Song” for “The Keeper” 2014 MUSIC Winner/Hot List “Best Local Band” 2013 MUSIC Winner/Album of the Year “Dancing With Shadows” from BookedPro.com 2012 FILM Best Short Film “Encryption” Canton International Film Festival 2011 FILM Best Music Video “Never Look Back” Canton International Film Festival FILM ► 2015 Director / Star DEMONSTRATION Beat Buddy 2015 Director DEMONSTRATION Neil Zaza - Positive Grid Software 2015 Director MUSIC VIDEO DenZon Music Video Series 2014 Director / Star MUSIC VIDEO “Mysterious” 2012 Director FILM “Encryption” Film (Winner Best Short Film) 2011 Director of Photography FILM “SAFE” Smooth Stone Productions 2011 Director MUSIC VIDEO “Once Upon a Summer” - Morgan May 2011 Director MUSIC VIDEO “So In Like With You” - Morgan May 2011 Director / Star MUSIC VIDEO Live Music Series 2010 Director / Star MUSIC VIDEO “Jingle Jingle” 2009 Director / Star MUSIC VIDEO “Never Look Back” ________________________________________________________________________________ ©COPYRIGHT 2016 | VARI LOUD RECORDS™ | ALL RIGHTS RESERVED TOURING HISTORY ► Ravenwood 2016 Ohio Legends of Rock 2015 - Present Joe Vitale Jr 2011 - Present DenZon Blues All Stars 2015 - Present Evolution (Eric Clapton Tribute Band) 2013 Reil Young (Neil Young Tribute Band) 2011 - 2014 OHIO (CSNY Tribute Band) 2008 - 2011 Cool Jets Band 2004 - 2007 Stephen Stills Blues Band 2001 Stephen Stills Blues Band 1999 Crosby Stills & Nash 1999 Stephen Stills Blues Band 1998 Joe Walsh 1994 ENGINEERING ► 2013 Stephen Stills “Carry On” Box Set 2010 Stephen Stills “Live at Shepherd’s Bush” 2007 Stephen Stills “Just Roll Tape” 2005 Jimi Hendrix Unreleased material with Stephen Stills 2005 Stephen Stills “Man Alive” LP (winner of the Humanitarian Award from UNICEF for “Feed the People) SOCIAL ► Official Website: www.joevitalejr.com Facebook: www.facebook.com/joevitalejrofficial Instagram: www.instagram.com/joevitalejrofficial Twitter: www.twitter.com/joevitalejr YouTube www.youtube.com/user/joevitalejrofficial Drums : Percussion : Guitar : Vocals : Keyboard : Bass : Song Writing : Producing Performing Live/Studio : Audio Editing : Audio Mastering RIAA™ Grammy Voting Member | BMI™ Affiliated ________________________________________________________________________________ ©COPYRIGHT 2016 | VARI LOUD RECORDS™ | ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.

It’s been really interesting to view the wide range of responses from our readers: what one loves, another despises. We know that extreme reactions indicate passion, and we want to encourage that...without provoking bloodshed, of course! Our columnists represent a diversity of topics and viewpoints, something for everyone. This issue, Seth Godin writes about the joys of teetering on the edge of control. Richard Murison samples the subject of sample rates. Dan Schwartz looks back at his development as a professional bassist, and his part in a legendary recording. Lawrence Schenbeck revisits the concept of The Shock of the New, as it applies to music.

Issue 41 SEPTEMBER 11TH, 2017 Welcome to Copper #41! The title isn't to announce a James Taylor retrospective---sorry to crush your hopes--- but is just what I see in today's weather reports. The Pacific Northwest, where I'm bound for a long-delayed vacation, is up in flames, along with many other parts of the tinder-dry US. Meanwhile, back in my former home of Florida...they've already had nearly two feet of rain, and Hurricane Irma is not even close to the state yet. Stay safe, everyone. I'm really pleased and excited to have Jason Victor Serinus back with us, with the first part of an intensive introduction to art song. Jason brings tremendous knowledge of the field, and provides plenty of recorded examples to listen to, and in the case of videos, watch. There are many stunning performances here, and I hope you enjoy this extraordinary resource. We'll have Part 2 in Copper #42. Dan Schwartz is again in the lead-off spot with the second in his series of articles on encounters–this one, with Phil Lesh and crew; Seth Godin tells us how control is overrated; Richard Murison hears a symphony; Duncan Taylor takes us to Take 1; Roy Hall tells about a close encounter of the art kind; Anne E. Johnson introduces indie artist Anohni; and I worry about audio shows (AGAIN, Leebs??), and conclude my look at Bang & Olufsen. Industry News tells of the sale of audiophile favorite, Conrad-Johnson; Gautam Raja is back with an amazing story that I think you'll really enjoy, all about Carnatic music, overlooked heritage, and the universal appeal of rock music; and Jim Smith takes another warped look at LPs.
