Program Summary

More than 1,000 events spanning sports, human rights, culture and Pride are taking place between 12-22 August for 2021 WorldPride and EuroGames in Copenhagen in Malmö.

The full program and all events can be found in our smartphone app alongside information on speakers, performers, athletes, and maps and other helpful information to guide you around both cities. This Program Summary lists the core events that Copenhagen 2021 WorldPride and EuroGames has organised directly, alongside selected events from our partners. We strongly urge you to download the app to see the full range of programming across the event.

The Program is subject to change for reasons beyond our control. The latest version can always be downloaded from our website, and you should check event details in the app before attending to ensure they are still correct.

COVID19

All our events are fully compliant with the current Danish and Swedish government guidelines and restrictions. You can read our current COVID19 information, together with information on where you can get tested, on our website.

All indoor and many outdoor venues require a Coronapas or equivalent proof of vaccination, recovery from COVID19 in the last eight months, or a recent negative test no more than 96 hours old.

We recommend all visitors and participants practice good COVID19 hygiene, including maintaining distance and regular hand sanitising. Our COVID19 guidance leaflet will be available from all Copenhagen 2021 venues during the event, with information approved by the Danish Health Ministry.

Thursday 12 August: Day 1/11

0900-1600: Exhibition of original Rainbow Flag, Location: (daily until 21 Aug) A 30-metre section of a Rainbow Flag created by Gilbert Baker for the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall uprising in 1994. It will be suspended in the ceiling of the main hall of Copenhagen City Hall and open every day for visitors except Sunday.

0800-2200: WorldPride House, Location: Malmö Live, Malmö (daily until 22 Aug) WorldPride House is the hub for WorldPride activities taking place in Malmö, and this is the opening day. There will be a range of lectures, debates and art and culture events throughout the day and the full daily program can be found in the app.

0800-2200: WorldPride Park, Location: Folkets Park, Malmö (daily until 22 Aug) Folkets Park is transformed into WorldPride Park for the duration of the event. There will be film screenings, performances and activities for young people at Youth Pride. WorldPride Park is open daily and the full program can be found in the app.

1700-1830: WorldPride Opening Parade, Location: Malmö stadion, Malmö Copenhagen 2021 gets officially underway in Malmö with the Opening Parade in which the LGBTI+ community will march at the Malmö stadion. Several thousand spectators can watch from the seats. Ticketed.

1100-2100: Elmgren & Dragsted, Location: Copenhagen Contemporary (12-15 & 18-22 Aug) Elmgreen and Dragset's Short Story is like a cinematic style image that captures the moment after a fight - but it's up to the audience to fill in and formulate the stories themselves, frozen in front of them in time and place. In Short Story, we do not get many answers or explanations.

1700-2200: WorldPride Bar at Malmö Opera, Location: Malmö Opera (12-14 Aug) For three days in August, Malmö Opera opens up their ‘amusement park’ on the Piazza with bubbly drinks, tasty food and music that makes you dance.

1800: Malmö Film Festival: WorldPride Edition, Location: Biograf Panora, Malmö (daily until 22 Aug). Welcome to the biggest queer film festival ever held in ! Over 35 different organisations present in a creative collaboration 46 screenings, of which so far 15 will be followed by talks.

1800-1900: Pride Radio RFSL, Location: FM 89, 2 Malmökanalen, Malmö During WorldPride 2021, Radio RFSL turns into Pride Radio. Pride Radio brings you all the latest news, talks and guest during whole Pride and will be your personal audio guide through this exciting Rainbow week.

1930-2030: Clothing, Identity and Gender, Location: Ny Glyptotek, Copenhagen The Glyptotek will be investigating the significance of clothes in a conversation between the author, Ida Luka Holmegaard and senior researcher, Cecilie Brøns. They will discuss how clothing and textiles were used in antiquity and are still used today to express gender, identity and status.

2100-2200: Berghain, Location: Folketeatret, Copenhagen An Alice-in-Wonderland journey through the famous Berliner disco. Berghain is the home of techno music, and here, the party never stops. Berghain is the world premiere of a brand new play by the Reumert- winning playwright Magnus Iuel Berg, with music composed by Simon Muchinsky, from the famous Danish band When Saints Go Machine. 1200-2300: WorldPride Square, Location: Rådhuspladsen, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) Rådhuspladsen, outside City Hall, is transformed into WorldPride Square, the hub and focal point of all our activities for the next eleven days. Our superb street food market is complemented by our bars, retailers, and the All Out Photography Exhibition together with live performances, talks and events.

1200-2400: Fluid Festival, Location: , Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) Fluid Festival is a celebration of women, genderqueer and non-binary identities and blends live music performances with speeches, debates, poetry and more. More than 100 artists perform over the nine-day Festival. Relax on our rafts in the canal with drinks from our bar and food from our vendors.

1100-1600: Marie  Emilie: Queering the Collection, Location: Den Hirschsprungske Samling, Copenhagen (12-15 & 18-22 Aug). Were there ‘rainbow’ (LGBTI+) families back in the old days? Was it possible to be queer and still express yourself creatively? At the , we can confidently answer ‘yes’ to both questions. The small exhibition about Marie Luplau (1848-1925) and Emilie Mundt (1842-1922) shows works of art acquired by the museum in recent years. They enable us to tell the story of a creative and loving same-sex artist couple who raised a daughter together and fought for equality in art and in life.

1300-1800: Psychopathia Sexualis, Location: Overgaden, Copenhagen (13-15 & 17-22 Aug) The exhibition is a large, international group exhibition - with both art, cultural-historical documents and live images from, for example, 1980s and 1990s sex education campaigns - about the relationship between illness, sex, gender, desire and lust.

1500-1800: Test & Bubbles, Location: AIDS Fondet Checkpoint, Copenhagen Visit Checkpoint at AIDS Fondet by for a glass of sparkling goodness and a test and get ready to a week of party! No appointment necessary.

1700-1800: Can sexuality become a place to belong? Location: Copenhagen Main Library We have invited the two authors Aaiún Nin and Niviaq Korneliussen to participate in a talk about gender, identity, borders and representation in literature, from Greeland and Angola to .

1930-2300: Inkonst Under the Rainbow, Location: Inkonst, Malmö (until 21 Aug) Inkonst opens up during WorldPride. Hang out, make out and mingle. Art exhibition and bar in daytime. A twelve-hour rave. Concerts, entertainment, talks and stage art in the evenings. And queer DJ’s until the night falls.

1930-2300: Film premiere Prince of Dreams, Location: St Johannes Church, Malmö Prince of Dreams by Jessica Nettelbladt is the opening film at WorldPride in Malmö. "Erik, age 27, is on a pilgrimage on foot from Rosengård in Malmö to the world’s end, Cape Finisterre. Erik struggles with gender dysphoria and a past full of isolation and vulnerability".

2100-02:00: Pub night: Underwear & Naked party, Location: SLM Malmö SLM Malmö is a membership club for men who like men and male fetishes. You can become a member when you visit the club. This night the dress code is underwear and naked!

Saturday 14 August: Day 3/11

0900-1930: Rainbow Children @ BLOX, Location: Bryghuspladsen, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) A safe space for young children and their families to ‘break the binary in the most playful of ways’, Rainbow Children @ BLOX opens today for eight days of activities for all rainbow families. During the week schools are using the space alongside visitors and guests.

1000-2200: Huset 2021 Main House, Location: Rådhusstræde 13, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) Huset KBH has been a home for young people in Copenhagen for more than 50 years. From today, for eight days, we take over the venue and transform it into Huset 2021 with five floors of activities for 13-18 year- olds only.

1000-2200: Huset 2021 Front Yard, Location: Nybrogade, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) Just down the road from Main House and facing the Danish Parliament, Front Yard is an outdoor space for performances, workshops and activities also for young people aged 13-19 only.

1200-2200: Arcadia, Location: Rådhushaven, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) The grandeur of Copenhagen’s City Hall (Rådhus) hides a splendid garden located in the centre and accessed from a gate on HC Andersens Boulevard, just south of WorldPride Square. This is a calm meeting space where you can escape the hustle and bustle and meet with friends.

1800-2400: Bøssehuset’s Signature Party, Location: Christiania, Copenhagen Bøssehuset is the queer space within the Free State of Christiania and this evening they are holding an official Signature Party for Copenhagen 2021. Expect a range of performances, shows and live music.

1100-1700: Hang On, Hang Tight, Location: Nikolaj Kunsthal, Copenhagen (12-15 & 17-22 Aug) Lasse Lau & Flo Maark's film essay about a next forgotten LGBTQ + event at Dixies Bar & Music in 1950s New Orleans.

1100-1700: Marina, Location Nikolaj Kunsthal, Copenhagen (12-15 & 17-22 Aug) A film by Lotte Nielsen focusing on gender change in today's Russia. Marina paints a portrait of the trans woman Marina who works as a laboratory technician at a factory outside St. Petersburg.

1200-1500: Sparkling Concerts, Location: The fire station in Malmö city centre, Malmö Live, Gustav Adolfs torg, Triangeln station. Räddningstjänst syd together with Malmö fire brigade orchestra offers pop-up concerts at selected locations.

1330-1430: Page 28: Queer Places in Malmö, Location: Biograf Panora, Malmö A talk with the editors of the new anthology Queera berättelser från Malmö.

1400: Party Drag Queens drawing book! Location: Beyond Us, Malmö There will be story time and reading aloud with Malmö drag queens Lady Busty and Miss Shameless.

1400-1500: See the Club at SLM Copenhagen, Location: SLM, Copenhagen Members of board will be present at ready to show you around and tell some of the stories behind SLM which were founded back in 1974. You can also ask all your questions regarding events, dress codes, fetishes in general etc. The bar will be open, so have a seat and enjoy a beer in the club. SLM has an extensive program with events every day during Copenhagen 2021.

Sunday 15 August: Day 4/11

1000-1200: City Walk – 111 LGBTI+ Places in Copenhagen, Location: Lurblæserve statue, Rådhuspladsen Starting from the Lurblæserve statue on WorldPride Square, cultural historian and drag artist Anders Larsen (who also hosts our #YouAreIncluded Podcast) takes you on a tour of the key locations in the book, 111 LGBTI+ Places in Copenhagen You Shouldn’t Miss. The book can be purchased from the merchandise booth in WorldPride Square.

1000-1700: Exhibition: Tove Jansson the artist – Moomin’s Mother, Location: Funnys Äventyr, Malmö (15- 22 Aug). An exhibition from Tove Jansson, the artist, creator and writer of Moomin.

1100: Rainbow Mass, Location: St John’s Church, Malmö A service where diversity is shown in song, words and prayer. Artist Nino Ramsby performs.

1200-1400: The Money Shot, Location: Folketeatret, Copenhagen (13-15 Aug) Two famous movie stars, who are anxious not to let their stars go out, get together with their respective lovers to discuss filming a sex scene in their upcoming movie — for real. What follows is a comedic romp through the raging insecurities, petty power struggles and name-dropping absurdities that comes with the fame and fortune of being a movie star. Neil Labute’s no-holds barred satire invites you into Hollywood’s inner circle while holding up a mirror to each of us, implicating our role in this culture in which very little is sacred and nearly nothing is taboo.

1400-1600: Were you Queer back then? Location: Biograf Panora, Malmö In five short interviews, five members of the SeniorProjekt RFSL Malmö share their touching stories about how it was to be queer back in the day.

1500-1630: 700 Years of Art in Queer Perspective, Location: SMK, Copenhagen (14-16 & 18-20 Aug) The National Gallery puts the museum’s collection of 700 years of art in a queer perspective. The art collection contains many narratives that have never been told before. Join us on a guided tour where we look into works of art that deals with issues of identities, bodies, gender, love, and queer.

1500-1630: Historical City: Queer in Copenhagen, Location: Rainbow Square, Copenhagen (14&15 Aug) Join the ’s historical city walk and learn about how Danish society and the city has been affected by sexuality ‘outside the norm’.

WorldPride walks - Because history isn't a straight line (every day 12-22 Aug), Location: Malmö, anywhere Join us for a digital walk through injustice and beautiful memories of Malmö´s queer history and meet some of Malmö's LGBTI+ inhabitants in the app Be Here Then.

Monday 16 August: Day 5/11

0900-1800: EuroGames Sports Leader Conference, Location: DGI Byen, Copenhagen (16/17 Aug) The first day of a free two-day conference considering how we can improve LGBTI+ inclusion in sports. Hear from leaders and organisers from LGBTI+ sports clubs and organisations, and mainstream sports bodies. Registration required.

1200-2200: 1:1 Democracy Festival, Location: Kvægtorvet, Copenhagen (daily until 21 Aug) The 1:1 Democracy Festival begins today and more than 120 debates, seminars and speeches focus attention on LGBTI+ human rights here and abroad. Kvægtorvet is filled with the Festival, including two tents hosting talks and debates throughout the day, booths from civil society organisations and partners, and space to meet with friends and colleagues.

1500-1800: Official Opening of the Human Rights Forum, Location: UN City, Copenhagen The formal opening of the Human Rights Forum with speeches including Michelle Bachelet, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Dr Natalia Kanem, Executive Director of the UN Population Fund (UNFPA), and Victor Madrigal-Borloz, UN Independent Expert on SOGIESC. By invitation.

1800-1900: Political Riots, Location: Malmö TBC (daily until 20 Aug) An hour of curated chats with grassroots activists who share why they do what they do, what they hope will change, and how you can get involved and make change.

0900-1900: Bearded Queens of Copenhagen, Location: Det Kongelige Akademi Bibliotek, Copenhagen (12- 13 & 16-20 Aug). The exhibition 'Bearded Queens of Copenhagen: The Library is Open. Officially ', three whimsical queens - Bryhildr, Jaxie Bearcunt and Maj Mokai - celebrate through images, objects and their own words. The exhibition is based on a research project by Anders Larsen and Maria Mackinney-Valentin, who have curated in collaboration with Cengiz Güdücü.

1100-1700: Powerwalk, an exhibition of LGBTI+ history, art and literature, Location: S:t Paul's church, Malmö (12-22 Aug). Get inspired and strengthened by role models and precursors such as Audre Lorde, Sixten Herrgård, Alex Fridunger, William Shakespeare, Lili Elbe, Jimmy Sserwadda and Jesus.

1100: Photo exhibition: THIS IS ME! Location: St Johannes church, Malmö (14-22 Aug) Not man, nor woman, but intergender. Photos by Åsa Sjöström of intergender people's longing for inclusion. Combined with texts by freelance journalist Ida Persson Lännerberg.

1000-1700: Human Rights Conference, Location: Øksnehallen, Copenhagen (17/18/19 Aug) The first day of the Human Rights Conference begins with a plenary session hosted by Terry Reintke MEP and Lady Phyll Opoku-Gyimah. Speakers include President of Guðni Thorlacius Jóhannesson, EU Commissioner for Equality Helena Dalli, UN Secretary General’s youth envoy Jayathma Wickramanayake and the Council of Europe’s Deputy Secretary General Björn Berge. 1000-1900: EuroGames Tournaments, Location: Various, Copenhagen & Malmö (daily until 20 Aug) EuroGames tournaments begin today and run every day until Friday. See the full schedule.

1200-2300: EuroGames Sports Village, Location: , Copenhagen (daily until 20 Aug) The EuroGames Sports Village opens today on the harbourside at Islands Brygge, just a 15 minute walk from WorldPride Square. Activities will take place throughout the day alongside EuroGames tournaments at Islands Brygge Kultuhuset while there’s also space to meet and relax with friends – or take a dip in the harbour bath. 1200-2100: RFSL Malmö Welcomes you, Location: RFSL Malmö (12-22 Aug) RFSL Malmö will be open during WorldPride for activities, socials and workshops. Here you can meet and take part of our regular activities, meet our Newcomers group, the senior project, Queer Kidz Malmö, Radio RFSL and spAce.

1300-1400: Opera is coming out! Location: Kuben, Malmö Live Malmö Opera and The Royal Danish Opera of Copenhagen meet on stage and are joined online by The Met in New York, that participated in WorldPride 2019 and Opera House in Sydney where WorldPride will take place in 2023. The host is the Swedish opera singer Rickard Söderberg.

1400-1715: The Danish Girl: Open rehearsals and dialogue talks, Location: Theater Sort Hvid, Copenhagen Based on the creation of the world premiere of the dance performance The Danish Girl, Holstebro Danse Company invites you open rehearsals and a conversation about the importance of trans and non-binary representation in the performing arts - not only on stage, but equally in the selection of the team behind the performance.

1730-2300: Asylum, Art & Action, Location: Kulturhuset Union, Copenhagen A cooperation between LGBT Asylum, Freemuse and Kulturhuset Union. A cultural event focusing on LGBTI+ asylum seekers, art and networking.

1830: WorldPride DJ Evenings, Location: Inkonst, Malmö (13-21 Aug) Sweet tunes and tasty drinks - your pride evenings are set! Because the night belongs to lovers we have lined our bar with the most delicious DJs to make you sweat, flirt and feel alive again.

1900-2000: My Body, My Nation, Location: Folketeatret, Copenhagen My Body My Nation looks at the correspondence between Self and Body. A one-person, multidisciplinary performative act, where the ownership over the physical body is examined within social, political and ethical contexts. Aloni would like to interrogate the archaeological and anthropological identities of our physical body. Via autobiographical elements and by responding to current political and social narratives, My Body My Nation attempts to decolonise the physical body from the cultures and manners that have been imposed upon it. This performance was created in creative residencies in The Netherlands, Denmark and . Part of the CPH Queer Theatre Festival.

A ride to Pride – a city guide to Malmö, Location: Malmö (city guide) (12-22 Aug) With this guide in your hand, you’ll be able to visit about 40 locations reflecting more than 100 years of Malmö's LGBTI+ history. The city guide is free of charge and available in various places around the city, both during and after WorldPride.

Wednesday 18 August: Day 7/11

1000-2000: Workplace Inclusion Day, Location: Øksnehallen, Copenhagen A one-day conference exploring issues relating to LGBTI+ inclusion in the workplace, organised with Workplace Pride and sponsored by Mærsk. Speakers include Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium Petra de Sutter, Danish Minister of Equality Peter Hummelgaard, and Senior Advisor to the President of the UN General Assembly Alexandre Stutzmann. Registration required.

1800-2345: EuroGames Opening Ceremony, Location: Fælledparken, Copenhagen The Opening Ceremony brings together all EuroGames athletes, speakers from host organisation Pan Idræt and licensing body EGLSF, and live entertainment from Jean Michel, Safri Duo and DJ Robin Skouteris. The host is Danish actor Jakob Fauerby. Ticket holders and attendees with a EuroGames Participant, Guest or Media accreditation have priority access before 1900. Ticket bookings open 1 August.

1100-1200: LGBTI+ themed Castle Tour, Location: Malmöhus Castle, Malmö Meeting point: outside the entrance on Slottsholmen, where a guide will welcome you. The tour takes about 60 minutes. How did the people who lived in the Castle think about love, identity and sexuality?

1100-1800: Art of Sport, Location: Copenhagen Contemporary (12-22 Aug) Art of Sport unfolds and paints a versatile portrait of the essence of sport. Through a number of works by international and national artists, CC goes close to the sport's hero worship and idolization, its gender and ethnicity codes, its inclusion as well as exclusion mechanisms, and the sport's relationship to politics, power and money.

1400-1600: Lola Ramona’s Drag Auction, Location: Street Hip, Nørrebro, Copenhagen Outdoor Drag auction held by Lola Ramona and Di Di Cancerella, and a chance to check out Lola Ramona’s beautiful Pride collection of designer footwear. The event is run by product partner Lola Ramona and proceed support local organisations FSTB and Sabbah, and Copenhagen 2021.

1700-1800: The Shy Manifesto, Location: Folketeatret, Copenhagen A hilarious and moving dramatic comedy, with a tour de force performance by British actor Daniel Ash as Callum, the 17-year old bookworm. He’s stuck in Bournemouth, and surrounded in life by overconfident people. Through the digital universe of his vlog, Callum delivers a potent manifesto, which reveals his intimate thoughts about sexuality, society, humiliation, self loathing, and ultimately his quest for acceptance.

1800-1900: Alan Turing Opera Project - Albert Montañez, Location: Palladium, Malmö This project involves opera, theater and technological elements to portray the life and death of Alan Turing, LGBTI+ icon and founding father of computer sciences and artificial intelligence.

2000-2100: AdeY "Chromatics", Location: Inkonst, Malmö (18-19 Aug) Chromatics is a dance piece looking at the moving body from a photographic point of view. Two performers on stage, vulnerable to the audience, surrounded by dia projectors challenges ideas of nudity.

Thursday 19 August: Day 8/11

1800-2345: Under the Rainbow Concert, Location: K. B. Hallen & Fælledparken, Copenhagen Under the Rainbow is our concert to showcase LGBTI+ talent from Denmark, Sweden and abroad. There’ll be a broad mix of styles and genres, established artists alongside newcomers. Artists include Princess Nokia, Theo X, Ivy Rosenauer, Ângie, Jean Michel, ZAND and more. The live concert will be at K. B. Hallen with the viewing area, extra live performances and outdoor concert at Fælledparken. Ticket holders and attendees with a EuroGames Participant, Guest or Media accreditation have priority access before 1900. Ticket bookings open 1 August.

1000-1700: Us and Them – an Exhibition on Hate Crimes, Location: Malmö Museer (12-11 Aug) Someone commits a crime against one or more people, simply because of the victims' sexual orientation, religion, or ethnic background. Hatred, fear or prejudice are behind it. Such crimes are called hate crimes. Come visit an exhibition that will hit you right in the heart and invite you to think, feel and reflect.

1600-1900: Exhibition: In Character, Location: Moderna museet, Malmö Going to exhibition in character - a performative workshop with artists Ruby Nilsson and Klara Utke Acs in collaboration with Index-The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation. For ages 15-21 years.

1700-1800: Copenhagen, Capital of Iceland? Location: Nordatlantens Brygge, Copenhagen In the mid and late 20th century many gay men, and other queer people left Iceland and moved to Copenhagen. Lecture by Ásta Kristín Benediktsdóttir.

1900 Moriskan Gayme night, Location: Moriskan, Malmö Sharday and Niki Banana are here for your entertainment, celebrating WorldPride like no other with a spectacular musical quiz! Join these fabulous Queens on a liberating Musical Quiz Adventure. They make the rules and you play the game! Do you wanna be on top?

1900-2030: Why does no one love the lesbians?, Location: Intiman, Malmö (13-21 Aug) Welcome to a newly written humorous odyssey in a universe! With warmth and comedy, we explore the ups and downs, the pleasure and anguish of lesbianism. There will be sweat, tears and secretions, grand entrances and lovesick scenes.

1900-2200: Music in the Colours of the Rainbow, Location: The Opera House, Store Scene, Copenhagen A tribute to Copenhagen 2021, the world’s LGBTI+ communities and the concert’s contributing composers who, despite oppression and adversity, commanded the will and wherewithal to make their music spring to life. The four embracing composers of this colourful WorldPride concert have all experienced what it means to be different, either due to their gender or sexuality. A concert of musical pieces that speak to the heart - from composers who managed to express through their music what they could not say out loud in their day and age.

Friday 20 August: Day 9/11

0900-1700: Refugees, Borders & Immigration Summit, Location: WorldPride House, Malmö A one-day summit considering how the situation can be improved for LGBTI+ migrants both in Scandinavia but also abroad. Leaders from politics and civil society will join with activists and human rights defenders for a day creating practical change. Speakers include Victor Madrigal-Borloz, UN Independent Expert on SOGIESC, Eliza Reid, First Lady of Iceland, and Michael O’Flaherty, Director of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency. Hosted by Alice Bah Kuhnke MEP and Ulrika Westerlund. Ticketed.

1000-1700: Interparliamentary Plenary Assembly, Location: , Copenhagen Christiansborg is the seat of the Danish Parliament and today its Speaker will host over 120 parliamentarians from around the world for a day-long conference on the Øresund Declaration and how global goals for LGBTI+ equality can be achieved. 1800-2100: InterPride Reception, Location: Gardens, Copenhagen A reception for Pride organisers from around the world who are members of InterPride and the European Pride Organisers Association, hosted by InterPride, , and Sydney WorldPride 2023. Guests are welcome to stay in Tivoli to enjoy the live concert in the evening. By invitation.

1800-2345: Drag Night, Location: K. B. Hallen & Fælledparken, Copenhagen Copenhagen Pride’s drag concert is known around the world for its ingenuity, diversity, originality and fun. This year we take it even higher with leading drag artists from Denmark, Sweden and abroad including Vinegar Strokes, Di Di Cancerella, Adam All and Mizz Privileze. Drag Night will be live-streamed globally via our partnership with Time Out. The live concert will be at K. B. Hallen with the viewing area, extra performances and outdoor concert at Fælledparken. 1500: Dryppende Stof – Sapphic Fragments, Location: , Copenhagen (19-21 Aug) A newly-composed opera performance at the Glyptotek, based on Mette Moestrup’s new version of works by the iconic poet Sappho. For generations, the poems of Sappho of Lesbos (c. 630 BCE) have been a source of curiosity on account of their erotic content, sensibility, and depiction of love between women. After thousands of years, the universal themes of Sappho’s poems are still topical. In DRYPPENDE STOF, those themes will find expression in a celebration of the feminine and a tribute to queer communities.

1500-1700: Drop-in-baptism reminder for , Location: St Petri Church, Malmö Opportunity to hear your true name and pronoun declared in church in a reminder of your baptism. Stand proud and rejoice in the name of God.

1630-1715: Page 28: BDSM in queer literature and culture, Location: Biograf Panora A talk with Elin Bengtsson and Bobbi Sand about BDSM in queer literature and culture.

1700-1800: International WorldPride Service, Location: Grundtvigs Church, Copenhagen At the service, we will celebrate our queer diversity within a spiritual space. The theme will be ‘Celebrating love Together – Gathering All’. The service is ecumenical, so we are a mixed group of pastors from different Christian Churches organizing it. We are attempting that there will be an even greater variety of queer-friendly church people being represented. All denominations and all people are welcome.

2000-2215: Pride, Location: , Copenhagen (18-22 Aug) An ensemble of international LGBTI + dancers, actors and performers from six countries creates a performance that touches on the personal experiences associated with being an LGBTI + person today. With Pride, the Royal Danish Theater invites you to celebrate the right to be the person you are, a performance staged while Copenhagen hosts WorldPride and EuroGames. Pride and shame are emotions evoked when daring to show the world the true you. Internationally acclaimed German writer / director Falk Richter turns the spotlight on these emotions seen from an LGBTI + perspective in his new, international performance at the Main Stage of the Royal Playhouse. Saturday 21 August: Day 10/11

1500-1700: WorldPride Marches, Copenhagen A total of six WorldPride Marches will begin between 1500-1600 from different points in Copenhagen, all meeting at Fælledparken the main venue for the Closing Ceremony. National and international dignitaries and leaders will take part in one of the Marches alongside Pride organisers from across the world. Registration required. Pre-registered participants who wish to join the Closing Ceremony in Fælledparken will be given a wristband after they have shown their Coronapas before the March begins.

1800-2345: Copenhagen 2021 Closing Ceremony, Location: K. B. Hallen & Fælledparken, Copenhagen A night of live entertainment from international artists, speeches from organisers and global leaders, and handovers of EuroGames (to Nijmegen 2022), (to Belgrade 2022), and WorldPride (to Sydney 2023). The live concert will be at K. B. Hallen with the viewing area and outdoor concert at Fælledparken. Ticket holders and attendees with a EuroGames Participant, Guest or Media accreditation or wristband from the March have priority access before 1900. Ticket bookings open 1 August.

2300-0500: WorldPride Closing Signature Party, Location: Halvandet, Copenhagen The official Signature Party to close Copenhagen 2021 with performances from Lady Bunny (US), Bebulah (SE), Tim Andresen (DK), Annælix (DK) and Shaarup (DK), Philipp Drube (DE), Neri J (DK) and Frank Heise (DE). 0900-1800: Queer , Location: Copenhagen Museum, Copenhagen (12-22 Aug) Throughout August you can listen to 1000 years of Copenhagen queer history at the Museum of Copenhagen. At 10 locations in the permanent exhibition about Copenhagen, you can, by using your mobile phone, listen to stories about people who one way or another deviated from the current norms, all the way back from the age of the Vikings and up until today. Stories about difference, about the right to love and about the various circumstances that influenced the expression of love through the ages. Just bring your mobile phone and have your QR code reader ready to scan the QR codes in the exhibitions then you will get access to these small glimpses of queer history.

1400-1830: Leif Holmstrand ‘Perilous Party’, Location: Inkonst, Malmö (13-21 Aug) Malmö’s best artist fills our spaces with crochet, trash, sad flags and peculiar objects. It’s art that makes you laugh with tears in your throat, that makes you think about bodies and dreams, art that is never predictable. Perilous Party moves in a disintegrating and unsecured queer space.

1600-1730: Pride in the North Atlantic, Location: Nordatlantens Brygge, Copenhagen Since 1999, Reykjavik Pride has filled the city's streets with people and celebrated diversity. Nuuk Pride has also been doing this since 2010, as has Tórshavn Pride, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. And both Iceland, the and have strong LGBTI+ movements that have left clear traces on the development of society and the debate in the three countries. Hear short presentations and get answers to your questions when we open the doors for an afternoon about LGBTI+ and Prides in the North Atlantic. .

1700-2000: Bubbly on the Quay, Location: Nordatlantens Brygge, Copenhagen Enjoy a glass of bubbly in our Rainbow Bar, on the quay by , where DJ Gisli Galdur conjures up a lounge atmosphere under the gentle summer sky.

1930-2230: Lotic, Location: Inkonst, Malmö Lotic is bending the very boundaries of dance music, all whilst reflecting on subjects such as race, sexuality and gender. She was born and raised in but has been a pivotal person in the adventurous club scene of for almost a decade.

Exhibition José Leonilson – Drawn 1975-1993, Location: Malmö konsthall (12-22 Aug) This exhibition is the first major retrospective of Leonilson’s work in Europe and presents a selection of 250 works, from his early paintings to the late introspective embroidery, created after he was diagnosed with AIDS, a disease untreatable at the time.

And how many genders are there really? All of these questions and many more are addressed in Malmö Museum's exhibition on biological sex.

1000-1700: Exhibition (in)visible - abstractions and fragments of queerness, Location: Malmö Konstmuseum (13-22 Aug). What emerges when we look at an art collection from a queer perspective? The exhibition (in)visible departs from Malmö Art Museum’s collection, presenting artworks ranging from the early 20th century to the current day.

1300-1800: Psychopathia Sexualis, Location: Overgaden, Copenhagen (13-15 & 17-22 Aug) The exhibition is a large, international group exhibition - with both art, cultural-historical documents and live images from, for example, 1980s and 1990s sex education campaigns - about the relationship between illness, sex, gender, desire and lust.

1500-1800: The Mysteries of Lust, Location: Gamle Scene, Copenhagen (18 & 22 Aug) A dark and droll opera thriller performed by a star cast from the Royal Danish Opera Soloist Ensemble accompanied by acclaimed special guests. The music ranges from Wagner and Mozart to Cher and Queen. The enigmatic Mr. D has invited guests to a late-night soiree at a drab suburban motel. The scene is set for a series of sensuous, mysterious events. What revelations await Mr. D’s unsuspecting guests? Polish stage director Krystian Lada presents a startling and riotous performance about love, longing and death - dealing with the diversity of life and desire.
