Paris, 15 December 2020 – Midem, home of the global music community, today announces an exclusive conversation between Hall of Fame songwriters, Jermaine Dupri and Dallas Austin, a one-hour, pre-recorded session to be released on Midem Digital from December 15 2020.

Part of the continually updated, exclusive content on the Midem Digital platform, this unique online conversation between Jermaine Dupri and Dallas Austin is presented by -Based Music App Deepr and moderated by Executive Hip-Hop and Brand Consultant Samira Kaelin. The Grammy award-winning artists, producers and Hall of Fame songwriters will share all the head-turning secrets behind their most famous hits. From and TLC, to working with pop icons like and , they both shaped the sound and fashion of the ‘90s, establishing their home city Atlanta as one of the main creative hubs for hip-hop in America.

Jermaine Dupri is a hip-hop artist, producer, , author, DJ and CEO of So So Def, which he founded in 1993. With record sales of more than 400 million records to date and having collaborated over the years with artists from Mariah Carey and , to , Jay-Z, , , The Notorious B.I.G., , and Kris Kross, to name a few, this member of the Hall of Fame certainly has some stories to tell. Fellow member, Dallas Austin, has an equally enviable CV. A musician, songwriter, , film producer and CEO of , founded in 1992, more than 50 of his songs have been hit singles. He’s worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, , TLC, Boyz II Men, Pink, , , Brandy and Monica, a list which doesn’t come close to revealing all his credits.

Jermaine Dupri, Hall of Fame Songwriter, Award Winning Producer, Artist and CEO, So So Def (USA) Jermaine Dupri has established a prolific career as a hip-hop artist, producer, songwriter, author, DJ and CEO of So So Def, which he founded in 1993. He has collaborated over the years with an incredible list of artists, including Usher, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Jay- Z, , , Nas, Kanye West, The Notorious B.I.G., Lil’ Kim, TLC, Bono, Run DMC, Bow Wow, Diddy, Cam’ron, , Monica, MC Lyte and Snoop Dogg. With over 400 million records sold to date, Dupri, a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, is one of most successful producers in the music industry. His career landmarks include the release of several platinum recordings as CEO of So So Def, winning a Grammy for Best R&B Song, and being honoured with an ASCAP Golden Note Award, given to composers and songwriters who have achieved extraordinary milestones. Dallas Austin, Hall of Fame Songwriter, Award Winning Producer, Film Producer & CEO, Rowdy Records (USA)

Since the late ‘80s, Grammy-winning Dallas Austin has written multiple Billboard number one hits, including, The Boy is Mine, from Brandy and Monica, and TLC’s Creep. More than 50 of his songs have become hit singles. He’s worked with the likes of TLC, Pink, Gwen Stefani, , George Clinton, Michael Jackson, Santana, , Erick Sermon, Johnny Gill, Shakira, Janet Jackson, , Duran Duran, , , Madonna, Bjork, Brand New Heavies, , Grace Jones, Tricky and Usher. Signed to Dive One Entertainment as a songwriter and producer in 1988, Austin produced the first Boyz II Men and TLC projects. He co-wrote and co-produced Madonna’s 1994 album, Bedtime Stories. Other key songwriting credits in Austin’s catalogue include TLC’s , Blue Cantrell’s Hit ‘Em Up Style (Oops!), Pink’s Don’t Let Me Get Me and Just Like a Pill, and Gwen Stefani’s 2004 single Cool. The multi-instrumentalist plays guitar, keyboards, bass, harmonica and drums. Austin’s additional musical endeavours include opening his own recording studio, D.A.R.P.
