Hello ESs! We are excited to announce an awesome opportunity for our students to earn a FREE Flexible Field Trip Kit while improving their academic skills! We have some incredible programs available to support increased academic achievement for our students and this opportunity will encourage our students to use these programs regularly over the next two months. Parents will receive a similar email tomorrow.

Program Option #1 - iReady Research has shown that 45 minutes per week of iReady instruction within a subject area results in significant increases in academic skills. Based on this research iReady has launched the “Strive for 45” initiative and we are excited for our students to participate. Make sure that your students have completed the iReady diagnostic assessment to ensure they have access to the lessons that are designed to meet their needs. One week of the challenge (45 minutes) can be earned by completing the iReady diagnostic assessment in the subject the student will be doing iReady lessons in. The diagnostic will need to be completed before the student will have access to the instructional lessons.

Program Option #2 - YUP Across the state, math has been identified as an area of need for students. This year our schools partnered with YUP providing our students in grades 6-12 with live tutoring in math 24 hours a day from their electronic device. We want to encourage our students to use this program regularly so they can strengthen their math skills and receive immediate support and feedback as they complete their assignments.

Dates of the Challenge: January 28 to March 29 Goal: ● iReady online instruction/lessons - 45 Minutes per week in the subject the student needs the greatest support with OR ● YUP - 2 interactions per week

ES Responsibilities: ● Share this contest with all your families through both an email and in person at your next LR meeting to ensure that they can participate beginning January 28th ● Confirm that students have all necessary login information for iReady or YUP ● Check in with your students about their progress within this challenge during your February and March LR meetings ● Collect the game cards on or after March 29th ● Login to iReady confirm completion by viewing the student detail screen ● Yup Participation will be confirmed by Brandy or Cyndi ● Complete the iReady and YUP Challenge Form for the student to receive their Flexible Field Trip Kit by APRIL 12
