After 20 years as associate head coach under former head coach Mike Zunica, Coach Nee took over as head coach at the conclusion of the 2017 spring season and lead the Mustangs to The Phil Lawler Classic Summer State Championship in the summer of 2017. After graduating from St. Rita, Coach Nee earned a scholarship to The Univer- sity of St. Francis in Joliet where he played both football and baseball under legendary coach Gordie Gillespie. Coach Nee also recently completed his 20th season as offensive-line coach for the St. Rita Varsity Football Program. He is a former Dean at St. Rita and currently teaches English while also assisting in the St. Rita Advancement Office. JJ STANDRING - ASSISTANT COACH Coach J.J. Standring ‘97 is entering his 18th season on the Mustangs’ coaching staff. Coach Standring earned a scholarship to Northwestern University following his senior season at St. Rita. He was a 2-sport standout at Northwestern in both football and baseball, and he earned All-Big Ten honors as a punter in 2001. He also just completed his 17th year as a member of the St. Rita Varsity Football Coaching Staff where he is recognized as one of the top kicking coaches in the state of Illinois. RICH JOSEPHER – HITTING COACH Coach Rich Josepher ‘89 is entering his 9th season on the Mustangs’ coaching staff. Coach Josepher was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodg- ers following his senior year at St. Rita, but he chose to attend Purdue University on a baseball scholarship. After transferring to St. Joseph where he completed a successful collegiate career, he played 2 seasons in the New York Yankee Organization. He was elected to the St. Rita Hall of Fame in 2010. VINCE FIORE – PITCHING COACH Coach Vince Fiore is entering his 21st season on the Mus- tangs’ coaching staff. Currently, twelve former members of Coach Fiore’s staff are continuing their careers at the collegiate level, highlighted by 2008 Chicago Cubs draft pick, 2009 team USA member, and current Seattle Mariner pitcher, Tony Zych. While at Andrew High School, Coach Fiore lead the T-Bolts to state championships in the spring and summer of 1992 and the summer of 1993 and was recognized with All-Area and All-State Honors in his senior campaign on the mound. He continued his pitching career at Ole Miss, where he was an SEC academic All-American, playing for former Cub great Don Kessinger. DAVE LETOURNEAU - FIRST BASE COACH Coach Dave Letourneau ‘07 is entering his 2nd season on the varsity staff in 2020 after serving 5 years as the sophomore head coach. As a player at St. Rita, he was a part of the 2007 Mustangs who won the Crestwood Super-Sectional by beating Whitney Young 3-2 to advance to the state finals in Joliet. He played his college baseball at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Coach Letourneau is also the head coach for the Southland Vikings in the Midwest Collegiate Summer League. Players Win Games. The Campus Safe Walk is a survey of the emire University of Missouri­ St. Louis campus collaboratively conducted by srudents, UMSL police, and staff from various Dffices. The safety concerns voiced during the walk are then passed on to the Safety Committee of the Faculty Senate. Volumeers gathered in Prm'incial House for oriemarion and light refreshmems at 7:00 p.m., forming groups of six ro ten members. Each team consisted of at minimum, one member of "the Student Government: Association (SGA) serving as group leader, one officer from the UMSL police departmem, one member of the Residemial Hall Association (RHA) , and studem volunteers. Teams assigned to North Campus areas were bussed using the UlvlSL Shuttle System to the Main Circle after brief imroductions.
