Show up at the Frontline Facility around Noon on Saturday the 30th ready to ride and camp. We are departing at 1300 (1:00pm) from the Frontline Eurosports parking lot and heading on pavement down to Damascus, VA to meet up with other riders in that area around 1500-1530 (3:00-3:30pm). The meeting point in Damascus will be Sundog Outfitters parking lot next to Subway (331 Douglas Dr,Damascus, VA 24236). We will re-group, re-fuel, and depart from there at 1530. Off and out to finagle our way through the beautiful mountains on dirt towards Mountain Lake and our final destination for the day: White Rock Campground, in Newport, VA. As always, we will have a great time camping and meeting other awesome fellow riders. You will need to bring your own camping gear and food for the night. Don't forget hydration for two days, should water be unavailable. In the morning we will pack up camp and head back out on the dirt towards Covington which is where we will most likely turn back and head back to Salem, VA and the Frontline Facility to end the ride. We utilise the figure of the motorcycle to raise the importance of analyzing alternative mobilities: to consider how they appeal to different travelling dispositions and emotions; how they have been represented; and how they have been produced, marketed and consumed. The paper first reflects upon the experiences and embodiment of the motorcycle- rider; second, evaluates representations of moto-mobility; and finally attends to the materiality of mobility via an examination of the economy of motorcycle qualities. Introduction In recent years social scientists have become increasingly interested in concepts of ‘automobility’ and in so doing have provided new ways of invigorating studies of transport and movement (Thrift 1996; Urry 2000; Sheller and Urry 2000; Beckmann 2001; Theory, Culture and Society Special Issue 2004).

A smoke respirator really wasn’t needed for these rides. Nick had to change lo- [email protected] cations for breakfast at the last minute due to the large turnout. But as Vice President always Nick had an Ace up his sleeve. The Club Ride also had great Russ Ristine weather (maybe a little windy). Riding through Sierra Valley and into 775.742.5866 the mountains was cool and the air was filled with the aroma of cut hay and sage. After passing Baxter, Gold Lake and Graeagle it was on to [email protected] Portola. There lunch was held at the Log Cabin. For now the Log Cabin Treasurer is open and it was ok, but it has been open and shut more times than Ernie Baragar the back door on the barn.

Kern Track DayTrip Our Sunday was actually a company Saturday Ride that we closed the shop early for. We had a great time with all the customers as we offered two different riding groups, faster and slower, in order to accommodate everyone’s riding level and enjoy the Fall Foliage Ride!!!! The group left the Frontline Eurosports facility at 2:00 and arrived back to the shop to find that Chip and Hugh were hard at work cooking great food in the new smoker for our great customers and riding buddies. The next Sunday Ride we had actually was another road trip to Savannah GA for another great track day experience with N8! Kern, who got to share lots of his new found information on the 2015 BMW S1000RR that will be out in Feb. We had some new track day junkies I have created with us such as, Jeff Cook on his new S1000RR, Brian Jarlesnki on his SV650, and first time Track Day rider, Greg Andrews on his Triumph Speed Triple R!!! I rocked out the ‘ol SV650 again.

Since that time, our Department has become nationally recognized as a major source of in- formation relative to police vehicles and their use. This year’s motorcycle evaluation was conducted October 20th – 23th, 2015 by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s De- partment. All major manufacturers of police motorcycles were invited to participate. BMW, Harley Davidson, Honda and Victory each submitted motorcycles for evaluation.
