3 Mayor’s Message

A night, or even afternoon, at the theatre is always a special occasion. Some consider it date night, getting dressed up and also having a meal in a local restaurant; Some see it as an event to share with friends or family; While others go to the theatre just to take a break through comedy, dance or music. No matter how you see it, watching a performance at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts is sure to be enjoyable! As we celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation in 2017, we would like to pay special tribute to the Canadian artists who are a part of our exciting 2016/2017 season-beginning with a performance from Richmond Hill’s very own Jackie Richardson on Opening Night, Thursday, October 13, 2016. This season will feature a variety of performances including music, comedy, theatre and musical acts. There is something for everyone to enjoy from rock to country music, live radio shows, an assortment of plays including The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as well as other family- oriented shows. Tickets for opening night and all other performances can be purchased online at rhcentre.ca or by calling the box office at 905-787-8811.

Join us as we celebrate our past and our future - and some special Canadian artists!
