The No. 2 seed is playing for the fifth time at the event and 10th time overall in Shanghai, including Tennis Masters Cup appearances in 2002 and 2005-08. Federer’s opponent, qualifier Albert Ramos-Viñolas, is 0-15 against Top 10 opponents (2-35 in sets). Also in second-round action are No. 16 seed Jo- Wilfried Tsonga and No. 14 seed Marin Cilic, who meets his 18-year-old countryman Borna Coric for the first time. Cilic and Coric each advanced in a third-set tiebreaker, with the 2014 US Open champion Cilic saving a match point against wild card Di Wu.     Western & Southern Open Defending Champions Headline Doubles Fields CINCINNATI (Aug. 11, 2020) – Both the women’s and men’s defending champions are among the initial entries to play doubles at the 2020 Western & Southern Open, which will be held Aug. 20-28 at the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center in New York. The 2019 WTA doubles winners – Lucie Hradecka and Andreja Klepac – are joined by the ATP Tour champions – Ivan Dodig and Filip Polasek – to headline the early entries. Other notable entries on the women’s side include the teenage pairing of Cincinnati’s 18-year-old Caty McNally and 16-year-old Coco Gauff.
