15.1 Books: (Art, History, Architecture, Islamic Culture and Urbanism) over 5000 Books, mostly in English and Arabic, but also in Turkish, Spanish, French, and German. The Collection includes numerous rare 19th.C and. early 20th. C first editions on Middle- Eastern countries.

15.2 Archives: The author, over the last 40 years, collected thousands of articles And excerpts from magazines and newspapers, related to Arab architecture and urbanism. For Iraq, every town is covered separately with its own archives. All 21 Arab Countries are separately

22 and systematically covered. Main Subjects on Islamic Architecture are also covered with separate archives.

15.3 Photographs:

Around 25.000 Black and white negatives on Iraqi and other Middle Eastern Architectural topics, all taken by author. All films are indexed and titled.

15.4 Maps:

Over 500 geographic maps of various scales and vintages of nearly every town in Iraq are catalogued. These include master plans, zoning maps, and aerial photographs.

15.5 Architectural Plans:

Thousands of architectural plans and other drawings of most important public building in Iraq are systematically catalogued. These include: mosques, churches, hospitals, school, colleges, housing projects, theatres, cinemas, hotels, offices and commercial centers etc. The collection also includes hundreds of modern house and villa designs in Baghdad and elsewhere in Iraq.

15.6 Architects in Iraq:

A separate archive for every Iraqi architect of major contribution has been collected. These include: Rifat Chadirji, Dr. Makiya, Husham Munir, Hazim Namiq, Ahmed Mukhtar, Abdulla Ihsan Kamil, Midhat Madhloom, Said Madhloom, Qahtan Madfai, Qahtan Awni, Mahdi al-Hasani, Jaafar Allawi, Fadhil Ajina, Mahmoud al-Ali, Maath al- Alusi, Henry Zvoboda, and others.

15.7 Measured Drawings: Over 2000 original, superbly drawn, measured drawings of architectural monuments in Iraq-unique collections of outstanding value. These include: mosques, churches, suqs, khans, hammams and houses. The collection includes a full Tigris riverfront of Baghdad -both sides.

15.8 Transparencies & Digital Photographs:

Around 150,000 original, professionally taken by the author, color slides of architectural and urban topics in the Islamic world. Each slide is indexed and titled. This collection, which started in 1968, includes many slides of important historic buildings which have long disappeared, or badly restored beyond recognition-as often the case. Another collection of (approx.10000 slides) on Art, Orientalist Art, Furniture Design, Interior Design and Graphic Design has been prepared. All images are being digitalized. Digital pictures exceed 250,000 covering Art, Architecture, Archaeology, Interior Design, Graphic Design, Photography etc.

23 Technical Note:

The author is recognized in Iraq and the Arab world as one of the most experienced and leading architectural photographers in the region. He uses top professional digital and normal cameras (Nikons) and other Nikon accessories such as a comprehensive range of lenses, filters, motor drives, etc… These include specialized wide-angle and telephoto lenses and perspective control (PC) lenses for architectural Photography.
